Bought to lock up my bike at the train station. It’s not an expensive bike by any means but was happy to invest £20 odd to prevent the inconvenience of it being stolen. This lock is substantial. It wouldn’t fit anywhere else than behind the saddle as pictured, something to consider if you have a small frame. It is heavy and the build quality is of a high standard. Mechanism is smooth and locks nicely.Saw some negative reviews on here whereby the user has connected the bike to a rack via the cable and their bike has been pinched. Not how it’s designed at all. The cable is purely ancillary and shouldn’t be used in that way, it’s solely for wheels and accessories. I’ve you U-lock your bike to a rack it would take a (powerful) angle grinder to get it off.Only slight criticism would be size and weight but this is clearly advertised. (They do a smaller one for a bit more and in hindsight I’d have bought that one).This lock will make stealing my very average bike simply not worth the effort.

You can't go wrong with this lock at such a good price. It's Gold Sold Secure standard, comes with 5 laser cut keys, and is coated so does not scratch your bike. There's a cable to wrap around your accessories and wheels (obviously that's not Sold Secure compliant). It's a well made lock, heavy and robust, and liked by my insurance company. Brilliant. EDIT - Three years in and the lock is still working well - despite being outside in the wind and rain a lot, the lock mechanism still works perfectly (we take it camping with us). I've not used the bike carrier attachment as my frame is the wrong shape. I see the price has pretty much doubled since I bought it for £24.99 back in 2017, but I would still consider it at the higher price.

This is a very heavy sturdy lock. Big U to slot around wheel frame and a post.Mounted on bike it is fine for storage and carry. Though if the piece that slots into the holder slides down a little it stops key operating properly as the main block can't fit onto the U far enough for key to turn. Make sure slide this back up U.Lots of spare keys 4 ! Cable for front-wheel secure would be cut through fairly easy by secateurs. But deters casual thief. Great value price. But you get a very heavy lock as a downside. As in a rucksack would be very inconvenient weight. Still I park in high visible areas to try and deter. Thieves are very determined if bike valuable. Pocket grinders now will cut through all. So make sure in high visible area.

OMG WHAT A MONSTER !!!This is a VERY heavy lock, with a GOLD Sold Secure rating.This is bound to have even the most determined bike thief think again and go for something easier to chew on :)It comes with a very sturdy frame mount should you want to mount this to the frame of your bike, but in reality the lock will probably go in the backpack, or stay locked at the gym or workplace, as who on earth would want to carry around the weight of a baby elephant with them on their commute :)The lock is fully coated so it wont scratch your paintwork, and it comes with plenty of spare keys, and a LED master key and a keycode tab.Note to self, DO NOT lose the keycode tab.....Overall this is a awesome beast of a D Lock perfect for Londoners like myself or anyone else who has to leave their bike locked up regularly.The GOLD Sold Secure rating is perfect for Bicycle insurance which is the main reason why I chose this lock over all others.

I spent quite some time reading into bike locks, this one is ranked very highly, especially for the price.Reviews of the Kryptonite locks are very mixed which encouraged me to look for something a little more robust. This lock is cheaper (I paid £24.99) and in my opinion very well made. The lock feels very sturdy indeed. Some have mentioned the weight of this lock, it is indeed weighty, but not heavy.The cable that it comes also oozes quality.No bike lock is unbreakable, an 18v angle grinder is going to cut through anything, but this will keep your bike safe under normal situations.

Bike security has moved on a lot since I was a youth, when a small padlock and chain was all that was required. I've not had this long but it seems to work well and hopefully will protect my bike from theft in London. Like me, it's quite heavy, but I manage to lock both wheels and the frame using the supplied cable. I ride with it in a backpack as the supplied clip for attaching the lock to the bike while in riding doesn't fit the frame on my bike, an elderly Marin Larkspur which is hopefully not that attractive to thieves. To date I've only left my bike for shortish periods (less than 30 minutes) in daylight, but so far so good.

I bought this for my mountain bike. I must say I did not expect this to be so heavy. Heavier than my bike I think. I therefore may not be ideal for those who spend £10K on a bike because it is 10 gram lighter. You can use it to lock you motorbike, car, tank and aircraft career as well. it looks very tough. The strap is not too long, like my existing one, so you need to lock it very close to the railing. It look water proof as well so nothing can go rusty. The keyhole is under the device and is tiny so it is hard to damage or get dirty. It comes with FIVE keys, I believe they are just backups so you will never have to order new keys.

A good chunky looking lock to act as a deterant.Very hefty. So finding a way to attach it to the frame with the supplied mount is a must. This can be a daunting task if you have cables all over the frame. However it is possible, as you can see from the pictures.The mount has two screws inside which when removed allows it to be realligned in 30° clicks before replacing the screws to lock it into position. The corresponding lug on the lock shaft has a hex screw which allows it to rotate around the shaft. So a combination of realigning the mount and the shaft should provide a good chance of mounting it in some way.Note the holes on the mount did not quite align with the bottle mount holes on my frame.
