I bought this item on a whim without fully understanding that the Foragers were in fact us humans and not wild animals. I thought this book would tell me how to increase feeding opportunities for wild animals.Aside from my own error the book is quite interesting. Who knew yarrow tea used to be a popular drink before modern day tea (apparently 2-3 sprigs of yarrow leaves (Achillea millefolium) with water). I'm not sure you could take this out in the wild and live of the suggestions but definitely some cool ideas for garnishing, fungi, refreshing drinks and a fair amount of alcoholic drink recipes (assuming you have some basic equipment).overall I found some interesting information on common weeds and relatively common herbs shrubs and even a few trees, and of course fungi.

I am so happy with this book! It has so many wonderful recipes that I can to wait to try out as with move through the seasons!I would certainly recommend this book if you are an avid forager!The book was also delivered in perfect condition and I could not be more delighted with my purchase!

I should have paid more attention to other reviews. Not the type of book I was looking for.- this book is not a guide to foraging. If you are looking for identification guidance and clear pictures, this book is not for you.- this is mostly a recipe book. What jumps out of each page is the names of the recipes, not the name of the plant, flowers, etc. See picture to see an example.- there is a large section on mushrooms which is great if you know what you are doing. I don't.- the pictures are not good enough for identification as mentioned, and some quite frankly seem taken in the 70s. Great for nostalgia, not for foraging safely.

Great book, would highly recommend.
