Treat Your Own Neck

Sort yourself out
I've had terrible posture for a number of years now, brought on by a sporting injury and compounded by 7-8 hours a day sat behind a monitor, the rest slouching on a sofa.To some degree this book told me things I already knew, about how bad posture can affect bad health and why. What it did tell me is that while Osteopathy and Physiotherapy is good, it's treating the symptom, not the cause of pain. The cause of pain is generally laziness, because sitting with poor posture is comfortable! The exercises are very easy, and provide great relief. I'm only on week two, but I feel a slight improvement, I've also invested in the posture aids suggested in the book, a must if you're going to improve your posture. For the price it's worth it, but this book alone wont fix you. Dedication, exercise and remembering to hold the correct posture (which this book shows you) will do that!

Proven formula
I had never attempted doing exercises for my neck as worried I may do some more damage and sent for this book. It is very well laid out and instructions are easy to follow with photographs.I reccomend reading it all before starting.I have found an improvement in my condition it really works if done daily, but have a break if its sore. Do not overdo it and you will be okay.My necks shot at c5 c6 c7 and brobasilar dissection so I was very wary and do not let physios anywere near my neck. This way I can control whats best for me.I would reccomend this to anyone you have nothing to lose and loads to gain for a cheap price.

Neck ache review
My doctor recommended I try this book. It explains well the likely causes of neck pain - with heavy emphasis on need to ensure correct posture. This encouraged me to improve mine which has helped reduce pain but not remove it. The exercises are simple, reasonably well explained* and do not take a long time to do - just a few minutes. However not a cure for me (yet) so need to go back to the medics*doesn't actually explain the difference between 'neck pain' and 'stiff neck' and a stiff neck does give pain. I took 'stiff neck' to mean only having pain when trying to turn my head

From the start of Chapter One in the book there are 68 pages. It's worth reading it right through before starting treatment.
This is a remarkable book which tells you just about everything that you need for straightforward 'do it yourself' treatments for neck-ache. I bought the book on 1st March 2016 and have performed the treatments described almost every day since then. (As I write this review on 2nd April, I am continuing with the exercises.) Before I started, my neck was extremely painful and made some awful crunching sounds. Since then, the crunching has steadily reduced and now I can only slightly hear it. And the pain has reduced considerably. I shall certainly continue with daily treatments as time permits in the hope that soon the remaining pain and crunching both go away. I shall keep hold of the book in case I need it again to help me deal with any repeats of the neck-pain.

Delivery took a while but worth it
Ordered 2 Aug and arrived 10 days later, not good when you're in pain and desperate for the book. But since arrival, and reading it, it is very helpful. The exercises are very clear and I now have almost full movement in my neck. The information contained in the book is in depth and you will quickly be aware of the importance of posture etc. I would recommend if you have persistent neck and shoulder issues as this book outlines preventative methods going forward long term.
