The Movie Art of Syd Mead: Visual Futurist

Really interesting collection of a lot of preproduction art I had never seen before. Some of the pictures would have been slightly better at a reduced and border size, but that's just quibbling really. I am very excited to see how much of his work features in the new "Bladerunner 2049" ,as we only get a few but very welcome examples in this volume. Also got this at a great price!!!!

The item is just as described, it arrived on time, was well worth the price and communication with the seller was great. Top marks from me.

loved the book very well printed and just the right size

The influence of Syd Mead on film design and on the visions of SF artists around the world can't be understated. Rooted in a real-world/ lived-in feel his vehicles and buildings have made so many movies seem both possible and plausible. This collection is a beautiful overview of his work over the years and, if I'm honest, the book could've been twice the number of pages and I would still have wanted more.Absolutely essential for futurists everywhere.

I've always been a fan of Syd Meads amazing work.In my opinion, i would have liked to have seen more work from less films.Some of the work is from films that were never made.The work for Star Trek the motion picture took up a lot of valuable space but was very samey of the Vejor concept.Overall, this is a very good book but lacks a deep focus on some key cinematic motion pictures.

A true visionary. Fantastic artwork

A weighty coffee table book of images and notes from the imagination of one of cinemas great visual artists!Great for sci-fi and film fans in general, it also intriguing for those more fluent in his work on classics like Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron.
