They do the job, but also add some fun in the kitchen; friends playfully move them around, and place them in silly positions!

I love my Lid Sid. Such a clever idea and stops the pans boiling over. He lives on my shelf above the Aga and I use him virtually every day and he always makes me smile as he hangs over the side of the saucepan.

I love the idea of these things, as I'm constantly mopping up after over-boiling stuff. The minor problem is that they're only really ideal if you have straight sided saucepans. Our have a slight lip, but due to the straightness of the groove in the little blokes, it means they either sit at an angle or fall off/in if not pushed down. This does mean they probably wouldn't suit any pans where the lip is very big.If they were tweaked to add a little notch to make the fit smoother, they'd get 5 stars no problems. And they still work with slightly lipped pans, it's just you have to be careful with them.

These two little men are funny and cute but most of all they serve a purpose. To let the steam out of the pan by holding the lid up at just the right height. I am thrilled to bits with them and will use them everyday. They arrived quickly and well packed. I am sure they will give years of good service.

I originally discovered these in Milan and found them so useful and yet amusing, that I have bought about eight sets as gifts. They really work and I no longer have sticky, burnt-on mess trailing down the sides of my saucepans and all over the cooker. Also, because the edge of the lid stays inside the saucepan without slipping, there is absolutely no mess to clean up.

If you're fed up with pans boiling over, then this is the item for you! Really cute two pack of little silicone men who sit not he rim and balance the lid on their backs AND they really do work. We were sceptical, but are now complete converts. Yes they are a bit pricey, but totally worth the money as they haven't let us down once. They wash easily and don't stain - even if the pan had something with a strong colour in it. Great little product.

Items were as described and delivered promptly. However, they were packed in an envelope which resulted in the original product packaging being crushed and damaged during shipment. This is very unsatisfactory and detracts from the quality of the original product.
