Update 1/31/24: Seller saw my review and offered me a refund. I told them I wasn't asking for a refund, I just hoped they would improve the product. They sent me a new model that the lid does snap on. I'm very pleased with it and impressed with their response! I give it 5 stars now because that was my only complaint!The idea of this could be a great product. Unfortunately making a lid that snaps on did not seem to occur to them. I love the rest of this product, but the lid has fallen off twice while taking it out of the fridge and spilled butter all over the floor. Then I have a greasy mess to clean up. Wouldn't buy this again.

I loved this concept but when I tried to use it, it was way harder than I thought it would be. I will try again but this might end up in the give away pile. Maybe someone with stronger hand will be more successful?

Great and cut to small measure like old fashioned square butter

I've searched for years for a convenient butter-cutter-holder, and finally found one worthy of a spot in my kitchen. Construction appears very good, design is attractive, and it fulfills several of my requirements including dividing stick butter into pats. It works! I keep my butter in the fridge, as I don't use it quickly enough to keep in a cupboard. I let two sticks (the long ones) come to room temperature and slice them, then put the cover on and put back in the fridge. The pats stay separated! Great for toast, in a pan for sunnyside up eggs, adding last-minute richness to ramen, etc. Only quibble is, the wires sometimes don't cut all the way through, so I have to turn it over and press the rest of the way with my thumbs. making it more of a 4.5*. But still ... not too much of a liability when I end up with such great results that last me weeks.

Please make this make sense. I bought this to slice our butter and of course as a container to hold said butter. I used it to cut the butter and it did great. It took a little longer but it sliced the whole stick. However storing the butter is another story. I thought putting on the white lid and hearing it snap meant the lid was on properly. Nope. Once I tried to move the container the lid popped off. Why doesn’t this have a stronger lid? If it is literally just for slicing why is there a picture telling you that u can use the container to store your butter. Please please please make this make sense. I’m happy with my slices but not happy with this white rediculous lid.
