Disney has done so many movies over the years and I have not been one to have seen them all yet so am gradually working through those I have missed and so Tarzan was the next on my list.This is a film I saw advertised years ago and never really had any intention to watch as it just did not draw me in at all but I have seen plenty of videos on YouTube making mention of the music in this film and so I was very much aware of it through these and this is what in the end drew me into checking this one out fairly early on in my Disney journey. Within 2 minutes of the film starting we were into a song by Phil Collins and I had to wonder if this was going to set the tone or be a one off and as the film progressed I did begin to wonder if this was a Phil Collins concert and he used this as a video for it. The music is excellent but if you don't like Phil Collins you are going to struggle as he is throughout the film.The animation of the film is suited well to the story that is being told and it has a very good all around feel to it which I did not expect. The film is actually only around an hour and a half which feels a little short but the film is no way rushed or lacking in story.Overall this is a really good film whilst not my favourite Disney offering but I would recommend checking it out.

I'm not the biggest fan of Disney movies except for Tarzan, Mulan, Lion King 1/2, Bugs Life and the 4 films of the Toy Story franchise. But im happy to finally have Tarzan on Blu ray. The image and sound are as awesome as the movie. There are some good extras too and the price was also great. I recommend this picture. It's one of the best in the Disney movies in my opinion.

I was a bit sceptical to purchase the Blu Ray after reading bad reviews but after getting it and watching it I don't know what people were complaining about. There was no flickering picture in dark scenes, I can honestly say everything looked flawless all the way through. Perhaps they fixed the issues and released a new improved batch but no visual issues at all for me.As for the film I found it absolutely brilliant. For some reason I missed this film as a child and so this was my first time watching it. I was blown away by the quality of the hand drawn animation, backgrounds and Phil Collins' brilliant songs. This is a masterpiece and it's a crime we don't have beautiful films like this made anymore instead of crap like the Pixar Cars.

A great story, animation and songs by Phil Collins makes this a hit in my book. I have watched it with my daughter twice in the last two days since it arrived and have enjoyed doing the Tarzan call for her to laugh at me! (memories of watching Johnny Wisemuller with my dad flooding back!) Disney when it gets it right really hits the nail on the head, with not just a great story but messages in the story about honesty, love, family, and many other life lessons, and you can sometimes forget its just an animation, not real life. The film extracts fun, laughter and some sadness, but it maintains an upbeat tempo, and is not dark, so my three year old was really happy watching this.Well worth adding to a Disney collection.

I bought this DVD for my son as an Easter gift because he loves Disney movies and often sits in his bouncer after bath time to watch them with us. This is one that we didn't have and hadn't seen so I thought why not give it a go. My son loved it and often giggles when he sees baby Tarzan at the beginning of the film with the mummy Gorilla. Its a film that we all enjoyed watching and one that we don't mind watching again and again. The songs and colours really catch his attention and often help soothe him when he is having a grissly day or teething. I would highly recommend this movie especially if you have young children to enjoy it with as well.

I bought this as a gift, received it in October but never tried it until today as the gift was given a couple days ago. The disk won't play on my bfs xbox one, xbox 360 or my blu ray / DVD player... just all error messages. I am extremely disappointed and can't even return the item because I am beyond the return window.

Very sad movie for a cartoon but overall lots of laughs and a very good movie

The movie itself is great and works perfectly but if you are buying this due to it having the Disney Classics slipcover then buy from somewhere else. This is just the basic Tarzan Blu-ray and after contacting the seller about it they said they do not have any covers at all.
