Extremely useful adaptor
My new computer only has HDMI and USB ports. The speaker system from my old computer is 3.5 mm jack and couldn't be used on new computer. This adaptor works perfectly and saves me from spending $$ on new speakers that have HDMI or DP connectors. Great adaptor, well built, and I received it in 2 days.

easy fix for my computer speakers.
After an update a while ago, my computer speakers were making all kinds of buzzing. At first I thought I needed new speakers. But first I tried them on my laptop that hadn't had the update and they worked fine there. Found this adaptor so the speakers not plug into a USB port on a hub and the speakers are back to normal again.

Cheap Solution to a Dead Sound Card or Section
My PC, like most has the sound card built into the motherboard. That’s great until it stops working. Rather than go to a lot of trouble I bought these and plugged one into an open USB port and my speaker input into the tail end of the USB adapter. I restarted the computer and it automatically selected the USB sound port and my sound problem was solved. USB to Headphone Jack only...not a Headphone Jack to USB
It doesn't say it on here, but this only reads OUTBOUND signals...it does not read INBOUND signals. I attempted to use the headphone jack from the TV / DVD / and projector as my inbound signal and this device didn't work when plugging it into a USB audio device. Then it became clear this is a USB to Headphone Jack only...not a Headphone Jack to USB.

Easy Install
Worked great ... Easy setup on Win 11 Home, switched to USB Headphone in "Sound" and 3.5mm Headset was Up and Running

My speakers hiss when using this
I used this product to plug in the speakers that used to plug into a speaker port on my Windows 10 computer, because my new Windows 11 unit has only a front port for headphones or microphone. So I bought this - but although my speakers wok with it, the sound has a very noticeable hiss. So it is essentially useless when I want good sound - I have to go back and use the microphone port after all.
