CasioPOP Bio-Based Renewable Band LED Backlight Daily Alarm Digital Watch

Really cool throwback design
I bought this because I owned a “liquid crystal analog” watch back in the early ‘80s, when they first came out, and the Casio website, while a little cheaper, was sold out at the time. It’s a unisex model, looks fine on any gender. It’s a bit small, smaller than most LCD watches from Casio, but that’s not a bad thing - you’d never confuse it for a G-Shock and it’s so light you might forget you’re wearing it. The strap is longer than one would expect from a small watch, so people with thick wrists will likely be fine with the factory-issued band - which is nice because the resin used to make it is “bio-based,” meaning no synthetics or petroleum products. It has all the basic features one would expect from a modern digital watch from Casio: local and world time, timer and stopwatch, 5 alarms and an hourly chime feature. The face is backlit and the LED it uses is bright enough to make it easy to read in total darkness. The closest thing I have to a complaint about it is that it’s rated as merely “water resistant” or WR. Per Casio’s definition, it’s fine for rain or splash resistance, but shouldn’t be submerged in water at any depth - not even sink-deep. I would have been happier if it was rated at least one step up, which is WR 50M (a.k.a. WR 5ATM), making it suitable for pool-depth swimming but nothing deeper.Footnote: 50M or 5ATM is 50 meters (54.68 yds.), but WR 50M is measured at static pressure, meaning the watch is immobile while tested in a tank that simulates that depth. Movement underwater ON THE WEARER’s wrist increases the force on the watertight seals, so a WR 50M/5ATM watch is not considered suitable for more than leisure swimming in fairly shallow depths, as opposed to open-water snorkeling, free diving or SCUBA diving. Most divers wouldn’t use anything less than WR 300M/30ATM.

Sleek, Stylish, and Surprisingly Slim: A Hidden Gem in the Casio LF-20 Collection
I recently added the Casio LF-20 to my watch collection, and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. The first thing that struck me was its size—it's smaller than it appears in the pictures, making it a perfect fit for my wrist. The slim design adds a touch of elegance, making it not just a timekeeping device but a stylish accessory. The grey color is incredibly neutral, allowing it to complement any outfit seamlessly. It's a versatile watch that effortlessly transitions from casual to formal settings. The minimalist aesthetic is on point, and I appreciate how it doesn't scream for attention but still manages to make a statement.Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Casio LF-20 boasts an impressive array of functions. From accurate timekeeping to additional features like [insert specific functions], it's a reliable companion for daily use. The watch's user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate through the various functions, and the overall build quality exudes durability.Whether you're a seasoned watch collector or someone looking for a reliable and stylish timepiece, the Casio LF-20 is a hidden gem worth considering. It's a fantastic addition to any collection, and I'm already planning to explore more from the Casio lineup. Don't let its unassuming appearance fool you; this watch is a winner in both style and functionality. Highly recommended!

Obsessed
I love this watch. It's slim and surprisingly lightweight. The layout of the face is just cool. I like that you can set the time down to the second. The screen is crisp and clear and I don't understand other reviews that mention any issues with readability because it is perfectly fine. I always love finding unique looking watches so I'm happy to add this to my little collection.

Retro style watch at a great price. Just a few minor flaws
A great ani-digi Casio. Very lightweight and comfortable.Pros:- Great accuracy due to quartz movement- Solid quality control as usual from Casio- Day/Date complication- 10 second running timer in top right (helpful for timing things)- great backlight for low light visibilityCons- the material used for the band is not as supple or comfortable as the typical Casio resin used on models like the F-91 or AE-1200- the display itself is small. Good for a unisex watch I suppose but if you have larger wrists it may be too small- smaller display also does make visibility difficult at a distance- as with other recent Casio digital watches the LCD display seems slightly blurred when viewed head on, but sharp when viewed at an angle. All in all a great watch for the money. And definitely provides a retro aesthetic.

Such an awesome watch
Fantastic little watch. I've got a decent watch collection but can see myself wearing this over a lot of other great watches in my collection. Also love the subtle star wars vibes it gives off. I've got a 7.5" wrist and don't find it small at all, but I prefer 36-38mm case sizes anyways, so if you're used to 38mm+ watches it'll take a bit to adjust your brain to get used to a smaller look but it does not look dainty at all.

My Favorite Watch
I love this watch. I'm a line cook and I wear this watch every day at work. It's exposed to water, high heat, hot oil, grease, filth, and harsh cleaning chemicals. Despite all this, it works perfectly fine. I love the timer feature for cooking and use it constantly while working out. I've had other watches in the past, but I always end up abandoning them on my dresser because they're uncomfortable. Not this watch though. It's so lightweight and low-profile that I wear it all the time. It goes well with every outfit too. The alarm feature is also nice if I'm somewhere without an alarm clock. It's also helped me dramatically with my time-management skills too (don't rely on your phone; it's distracting and the battery is unreliable). I hope to have this watch for years and years to come. Maybe someday I'll finally be able to travel and then the world time feature will come in handy.
