Great whistle
The Acme Thunderer is a classic for a reason. This one is full and loud. It’s a great whistle.

As a matter of fact, I did change whistles.
Comments received that this is significantly louder than my Fox 40. I think. I was having trouble hearing and had to read their lips.

Great Whistle
This is a really nice big whistle with a deeper sound than the smaller ones I have. I like the raw brass, but if you want to keep it shiny as new you will have to polish it at times.

Purchased as an emergency whistle for the boat. It isn't a little loud. It's freaking ear piercing, melt your brain loud! Great fit finish hefty solid brass. These and Foxx Fourty are all I'll ever buy.P.S. Yes the inner child won. Don't test this thing inside when it comes.

If you want the best
This whistle is the standard bearer, other mfg.'s state their product is "as good as the ACME." They never are. Treat yourself to the best, it is worth the money. Not everyone can live in a mansion, drive a Bugatti and vacation in Europe. You can however own the best whistle available anywhere which has been made the same way for over 100 years. The pro's use ACME Thunderers.
