Ah, the original lava lamp! The original and the best. This particular unit is known as Aurora Borealis and at first I thought that was referencing the base of the unit because it is colored differently than I've seen before, kind of a swirl pattern. The magic however is what happens in a dark room when the lava lamp is operational. This particular combination of fluid color and "lava" color produces effects on the walls that mimic the Aurora Borealis. Very interesting looking lava as it seems to change color somewhat and by doing that it shoots bright beams if you will of green color onto the walls in an ever-changing pattern just like the Aurora. I've always loved lava lamps but this particular combination of fluid and wax offers a truly hypnotic effect in a dark room. To truly enjoy the effect to its fullest the room must be absolutely dark. Place the lamp about 6 in from the wall to enhance the effect. This one will not disappoint!

The lamp was easy to assemble and easy to start enjoying. It's quite durable and should last for many years. It's fun to watch the wax make different formations. Nice color!

Extremely disappointed in this product and their lack of customer service. My daughter wanted a lava lamp for her 6th birthday since her brother had a lamp. Her favorite color is purple so we thought this would be the perfect gift for her. Unfortunately it is defective and does not work. The accompanying picture shows the lamp that has been on for 6 hours and the lava does not move. It’s cloudy and doesn’t work. I reached out to their customer service last week and haven’t heard back. Don’t waste your money.

This was a gift for my 8 year old. He loves it! The colors are fun and the lamp functions well. The brightness is great for his room and I have a happy boy.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve only had this running about 7 hours after receiving it and I have to say I’m rather impressed. Usually my brand new out of the box lava lamps ( yes, lol I do have a lava lamp collection) take a couple to a few days of cycling 8-12,hours per night on average before you really can see their true personality and how they are going to perform. However, this one straight out of the box after only running a mere 7 hours is very impressive. The colors are great, there’s some blues, purples, and even a hint of a deep dark violet or fuschia color. After reading some reviews, I have to admit I was a little hesitant to purchase this lamp but I’m very happy I did. If anything changes I will definitely update my review but so far it’s working great. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member.

The product works perfectly with no visible damage and the wax is flowing properly, but it is so so cloudy directly out of the box that there are times I struggle to see the wax at all. Initially I wondered if this was previously opened and being sold as new because the box was slightly bent and had no seal sticker (shipping box was fine only the product box was like that so I don't think the delivery driver was rough with it).I'll try both letting it settle for over 8 hours tonight and running it for 6-8 hours a day for a week (both suggestions I've seen online to resolve clouding that occurred due to shipping). I'll update my review if that resolves the issue but if it doesn't I'll have to return the product because it is too expensive to be this cloudy.Update: after running it for 8-10 hours a day for 5 days and leaving it sit over night each time there was no improvement so I ordered a replacement. I don't expect a crystal clear lamp straight from shipment but the new lamp is already significantly clearer than the previous one. The liquid has the clarity of maybe a melon soda now rather than a clearly milky tinge. The weather was actually warmer for this delivery than the previous one, so I'm still not sure what was happening with that one.For the ability to return and replace, and an item that functions as designed I'll bring it up to 4 stars, but it still feels a little expensive for what it is to me. I recognize you're paying for the exclusive wrap but the graphic used for the aurora foil appears stretched (as though they used a low resolution or wrong sized image and stretched it to size instead of creating a graphic in the right size to begin with). You can get lamps that are just as beautiful from target for $25.

arrived in perfect condition, works great. The very first time it takes a very long time to warm up, several hours. after that it an be hot within 20-30 min. The base gets a little hot, best to put on a ceramic plate or something. It's quite tall, so needs to be put out of reach of cats, kids, wind etc. Wonderful colors, my son loves it!

The teal and purple colors look even better in real life than they do in the photos here. As it starts up, the wax formations and shadows 100% remind me of an actual aurora! I've had this lamp for a year and a half now. Over time, the purple wax has lightened a little but I like it more now than I did when I purchased it in 2023.
