Works like a charming
Great product. We live in a log house and we placed these around the perimeter. If we see one, easily visible spike up, we simply pull out the spike and put a new one in without digging another hole. We’ve been using these for years with great success!

a great price!
Easy to install and great value. Hopefully I never have to see them in action but glad they are there for protection. Termite company quoted me $1600 for the same type of product so thankful for these!

How do I prevent termites.
Well, I haven't run into any termites yet but several of these stakes “false triggered” due to clogged gutters overflowing and saturating the inner core. Ants and an earthworm triggered another. My neighbor two house down had a woodpile next to their garage and their garage got eaten by the critters. These are good insurance against termites fleeing from an infested house nearby. How to prevent termites? Have your house inspected by a reputable termite company (cost: less that $85.00). Do you have a channel where dirt has sunk in next to your foundation? Order a dump truck load of regular dirt (not dirt/sawdust mix) and make sure water drains away from your house (go out during your next rainstorm and take note of areas that flood. Downspouts should have at least 4 foot extension pipes that drain away from the house. Gutters clogged? Clean all the mud and sand out or these and make sure downspouts are clear. Termites need a moist environment. Nests can be 20 or 30 feet away from your house. Locate woodpiles at the far end of your property line and try to keep wood from making contact with the ground. If you have a concrete slab or a steel wood rack - great!I hate the idea of squirting termite poison in the ground. Common sense solutions and these termite stakes will guarantee you will stay termite free. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. REMEMBER: The best time to find places where water pools near your house is during a gully washer rainstorm. Keep wooden fence posts, wood piles, tree stumps, mulch away from your foundation. Watch out for carpenter ants too! They are usually the big black ants that do as much damage as termites. If you have very old, decaying trees that have low-lieing limbs over your roof, you will probably get carpenter ant damage to your roof - or any area that traps moisture or has a roof leak. If these critters are around the perimeter of your house, they’re not making a social call. Cut overhanging limbs, remove dead or decaying trees. Common sense. . . You can do it (for free).

Helpful
This is very helpful to us to control underground termites in the tropics. I order it every 6 months, so that I don’t have to deal with termites in and around my house.

Sit higher than pro's, but good enough and much more affordable.
I guess they work. Very easy to install. They do sit a little higher off the ground than what the pros use. I already took 1 out with the mower.

Get a prefessional quote then compare to these.
Everyone needs to protect their house from termites. These are excellent do-it-yourself bait stations. They work. I have replaced the eaten traps. Replace once or twice a year because other termite colonies will not follow another colony's pheromone trail into a trap. Map out their locations.

Very visible when the termites eathe the poison
This is my second box of these. I use them around a mower shed in Louisiana where termites are a real issue. Very visible when the bugs eat the poison and it's easy to put another in the same hole or use the included drill to make a new hole. I'll keep buying them.
