My last tripod was an ancient hand me down from my dad, these are so much more 21st century! I can't compare to any other modern tripods but I'm more than happy with these, I got the mini AM-223 as well to make a very flexible starter setup. Having a separate centre column gives you more options and means you can get both of these tripods very low. With this tripod and SL-200 attached the camera is comfortably at eye level for me at 6'2 tall. It also feels sturdy. I really like that the included Sirui carry case with this tripod is roomy enough to fit all three of the above items into it comfortably.
