Filters out the sediment and more very well on our house!
This fit well in our current well water softener system's filter canister and I had no issues installing it. Seems to be well made and I chose the 20 micron 20-inch whole house water filter replacement cartridge. Its our only filter and is mainly used to grab any sediment (sand etc) coming in from the well water that our pump pulls from around 100 feet below the ground in south Florida. It is also suppose to remove other things like even rust which we have a problem with in our area. So far after about a week of use it has been stopping the sand from reaching the water softener and faucets which I could see when I pulled the filter to check on it. We haven't noticed any of the sand getting by the filter nor have we noticed any reduction in pressure.These six will probably last us two years or longer if I rinse out every time I put salt in the water softener but since every well is different or water supply it different you'll have to go by your situation. I also can't tell you for sure if it removes rust as I have no way to test that but I can say that our water doesn't look like a rust color and we haven't had any rust staining in our toilets, sinks or showers. All in all happy with the filter.

Works in Big Blue - Good Value
Traditionally I've been getting my sediment filters from the local big box store and often I end up paying about twice as much there for a seemingly equivalent product. These feel, fit, and most likely, will perform like the others I've had. Time will tell, but I generally replace these filters about every 6 months for best performance. Assuming they last that long without any dramatic drop in water pressure, I'm very happy. So far so good but I'll certainly update should they fail to perform as expected.Initial quality appears equivalent to what I expect, and the price is excellent for this many. Very pleased thus far.
