I have a small house so I take advantage of my behind door storage (shoe organizers, gift wrap, ironing board, nail polish rack - all behind doors. In order to keep the doors open the same amount I used these 8" hooks putting the moving part on wall. Works really well.

Perfect for old doors with no locks
I have been needing a lock on my bedroom door for awhile and this one worked perfect! I live in an old house with heavy wooden doors with metal door handles that have a key hole (but no key). I have tried and failed to install other types of locks on the upper part of the door in the past and they never work because the door does not line up perfect in the frame. This was the perfect affordable solution since it will latch regardless of if it lines up or not. It also looks nice on my white frame and not tacking or gaudy. I will eventually order these for the other rooms in my house as well!

Keeping monsters away
We needed these to keep the monsters in the closet at night and the children safe. So far the children have yet the be able to access the closet where Chucky, Annabelle, and the Boogieman have been residing thanks to these bad boys!

Nice White Latches, but a bit quirky
This is a nice set of (2) white latches. They are well made and easy to install, however, the smooth surface and design of the "hook" make it a bit quirky to get the latch to hold the door securely.

saftey latch
i bought this to put at the top of the door, the 2yr old is learning how to open the door, the cute little plastic chairs we buy for our little ones, they use those to reach the lock, put this lock at the top of the door so you dont have to worry.
