does what it says on the box
Works perfectly, I use it to drive an early 2008 Macbook Pro's external DVI output into an HDMI input on a Benq Eco2400 HD monitor, and it's greatQuick delivery too, only took a couple of days I think.

Didn't work - but not sure if this item was the fault
I bought this to connect my bluray (hdmi) to my tv monitor (dvid) - it didn't work, the tv did not display the picture. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know why it didn't work - everything fitted into the right slot! I ended replacing the bluray player with one that also had component sockets.
