SHARP Countertop Microwave Oven with Removable 10.6" Carousel Turntable, 900 Watt, 0.9 Cubic Feet, Stainless Steel

Took a lot of searching to finally find this little gem. Kept reading all the reviews on other microwaves and was ready to give up then got to page 3 or 4 of the search results and saw this little worker bee. It is small but mighty and relatively quiet. I thought it couldn't be cooking well as it was so quiet but it does the job in the time you enter. I angled it so it fits nicely into a corner space, but initially had it flush against one wall and it still did not take up a lot of counter space.The child lock mechanism is easy to switch off, if you don't need it.The clock was easy to set and easy to see in darkened room but not glaring.The timer buzzer is not annoying and I think I read (yes, I read the manual) you can turn that off, too, but I haven't tried it as it doesn't bother me.The inside is plenty big enough for largest plates we have.The opening is large and easy to move things in and out.The inside is nicely lined so it is very easy to clean.I wasn't sure about the "Popcorn" programmed timing, but very easy to use and cooked the snack bags perfectly.I recommend this microwave highly!

Fit the small space I had for the oven perfectly. Looks good, provides very adequate cooking power, seems to be made well.

Works well so far. Able to turn off beeping. Very easy to use. Heats food and beverages quickly.

This unit replaced a nearly identical older model that had many years of good service. This upgraded version is a little stronger. All is well so far, but it is a little noisier than the older model… a low growl, especially with lower weight items for some reason. I personally wonder why they bothered with the automatic START 30 second button ? If you want any time other than that, you have to punch-in “time cook” button first, before you then select your desired time . An unneeded inconvenience. I think the dark interior is a poor decision. I’d prefer a light interior, like the older version. But in spite of these complaints, the unit works very well, and we look forward to years of use.

Make sure when you order a brand name microwave it should be in its original packaging. Not in a brown box as I received it but did not pay attention. Sharp brand has always been a recommended one. Not in this case. As a mere test, I placed a cup of water in the microwave for 1 minute. Within 30 seconds smoke was beginning to creep through the right side of the microwave wave where the light is and a burning odor was getting stronger. In an instant I had to put off my main electrical circuit and then unplug the microwave. My home may have been an inferno just like that. Be cautious with these kind of items.

Love this microwave! It has a somewhat smaller footprint than our last one which I appreciate. The only thing I don't care for (and it's not a big issue), is the handle placement, which I find a bit awkward. It would have been better at the top. But other than that, it does the job and isn't too loud.
