No itching nor see no fleas
It was a sealed package and also bottles was double sealed. Rascal my 9 month puppy is always going outside to potty. But in the grass is hitchhiking fleas and ticks and other bugs. I did put on on as directed. And we have not seen 1 flea nor any itching. Im very happy to find something affordable and actually effective. Ill definitely be purchasing this for all 3 of my furkids. Love no prescription required.

Effective, safe, great product for a lower cost
What a life saver! My dogs ended up getting fleas so I immediately took to Amazon in search for the best product that was affordable but still effective. I found it! This product began to kill the fleas within 24 hours. By the second day, I saw fleas crawling to their final resting place. It did not irritate my pitbull's sensitive skin. It is easy to apply and the odor is minimal. Never let cats get the dog flea treatment on them, keep cats away for at least 24 hours.

No skin irritation, less odor, faster drying, happy babies!
We have used Advantix 2 for all of our dogs for the last 15 years or so, and nothing else. We have almost always had 3 dogs and that can get expensive fast. We live in the country, we have ticks, mosquitoes (ones that the samples test positive for west Nile every year) biting flies and fleas....being children of the 80s and 90s my husband and I both have bad memories of fleas from our childhood, anyone else remember the flea collar smells, bug bombing the house and the countless sprays back then that never seemed to really get rid of all of them? So we are super serious about preventing them lol.I tried this because of the advertising of the ingrediants being the same as advantix 2, and the price difference. I decided to try it out in the spring when the potential for it failing wouldn't be as bad as summertime (we've are in ohio where spring didnt start this year until May!) We only used flea prevention during warm months because I was told by the vet that constant use of topical can cause them to be much less effective over time and I personally am against the ingested meds for flea prevention so thats why. Anyways, so far we used it in May, June and now July. I was late getting it on in July because I wanted to bathe them all and had to wait on the rain to stop creating mud pits everywhere and I did see a couple of fleas jump off one of them so we bathed them (no fleas came off in the bath) and put it on 48 hrs after, no fleas since.I would say compared to the name brand it has worked the same, maybe better because it doesn't irritate their skin like the name brand. I can't say how it would work if you already had a flea infestation but as a prevention and maintaining that prevention it has worked just like advantix 2. We have seen no ticks, no fleas except what I mentioned above, and they dont have any fly bite marks either. I think the advantix 2 stayed on longer, meaning if I had gone 2 weeks past the due date they wouldnt have had any fleas at all, but this doesn't have as strong of a smell, dried in quicker, and didnt irritate their skin so maybe the formula for that part is the cause but, as long as I keep to the 30 days I think the trade off is better for them with that anyways!

Worked right away, within a week they were gone!
Took my dog to the dog park and brought fleas back! Advantage was not working so I switched to this. Within the week I see nothing so far on my three dogs and one cat. I will update on a few more weeks! The only thing I was not a fan of was the opening of the vile. Usually you just break them but had to use scissors, but that also means they were sealed well so I can manage! I DO recommend this !

Haven't seen a flea/tick at all! Can burn dog's skin and difficult to put on a dog with undercoat
Update: 2025 is a very bad tick year and I've had to remove one tick and found a handful on my dog's coat before attaching themselves. I've not decreased my previous 3-star rating for this, but now that I've been using the product a couple of years I have found my dog becomes very loopy on the day of application :( In truth, I wish there was a better alternative than liquid absorbed into their blood stream and I don't like breakaway collars because too many things can go wrong with a collar.I switched from another leading brand 3-month chew to this topical brandy for safety purposes. I've not seen a flea or tick since I began using it five months ago (repeat buyer here). Positives - It's less harmful than any chew. It's cost effective. Negatives - it can temporarily burn your dog's skin. After the third use I noticed my dog itching. I checked his skin and found red patches. I showed my vet and he said the topical was slightly burning his skin (which I found out is not uncommon with topicals - ugh! Topicals and Internals each have their drawbacks). Month four and five we are back to normal. It is NOT easy to apply to a dog with an undercoat. It smells and because it needs to dry for a good amount of time we won't pet our dog on the back for 24-28 hours after application. You can't let them get wet (think rain, snow, groomer/bath) for 24-48 hours after application. I miss the ease of the chew, but even with the negatives with Activate II it is much safer for my dog!

A Lot Cheaper that the Vet!
I have really gotten tired of paying the vet so much for flea tablets so I decided to try this Activate II product. It says comparable to advantix II so I figured I would get it and see. I actually was surprised that it seems to work after only a week of use. It's easy to apply and I don't have to fight with my pup to take pills so it's a win-win for both of us. The product goes on easy and doesn't have a bad smell. I didn't notice any side effects and I have enough in the box for 4 months. So with the cost being so much less that what the vet charges I will definitely continue to use this.
