Good quality, cut well with a 10W blue diode laser
I didn't have the same consistency issues others did; my wood was straight without too much glue or too many knots. I'd buy this again.

Acceptable but a little bit overpriced - consistent quality and grain
I would consider this wood acceptable for laser cutting and engraving projects. The problem is buying wood online is completely hit-and-miss, and each package can vary pretty dramatically. In this case, the material is consistent in core and veneer - neither is outstanding, but the consistency is nice to see. Overall the material is acceptable, just not exceptional. And it's a bit overpriced.

Fairly consistent
I don't have some of the inconsistency problems that other reviewers have faced, but I got these to paint on rather than to engrave. The surface is pretty great for acrylic painting, so I have no complaints here and can't speak to any engraving issues relating this just being a veneer, but if you're looking for a consistent, smooth surface to draw or paint on, this is an affordable answer.

Sent me the wrong wood
I ordered a 3mm pack of wood. Was sent 2.5mm wood. Quality was so thin and cheaply made.

Excellent quality!
Surface finish is smooth which is great for masking or painting. It cuts like butter with a hot knife on Omtech Polar. I'll buy some on my own in the future.

Cuts like a butter with CO2 laser
These sheets are uniform, consistent grain and flat. Easy to pop into my laser and cut. I did not need to adjust any setting, just used my 3mm basswood setting and they cut like butter. No issues.

Clear voids from the side, not the best basswood
I have purchased multiple similar 12x12x1/8 basswood from different seller. And this is definitely not the best I have got. The core is clearly of inferior quality, with multiple voids visible from the side. The thickness is ok, but the veneer surface is not consistent and some with very clear joint lines.

Undersized, but otherwise OK
A couple of sheets had some warping, not enough to prevent them from being used on a laser cutter, and the surface looks good, but the main issue with these is that they're not 1/8" or 3mm. They're actually about 0.108" or 2.7mm.
