We purchased four of these in our new kitchen island. We love the convenience of placing our gadgets on the island at night and having them charge. We have been using them for about a year now.

I installed this in my island, it's very nice to be able to charge with only a cable!

provided "no visible screw"cover plate will not cover / fit over an old work box. But a regular 2 screw plate works fine.

More than a year after I bought this USB plug and outlet the USB stopped providing power. I wrote to the manufacturer. I was very impressed to receive an overnight response which was extremely helpful and supportive. Their suggestions allowed me to fix the problem without needing a replacement and their solid support makes me happy to buy from Elegrp again.

One day I looked at our wall socket by our kitchen table and I saw this monstrosity of a thing that I found out my wife ordered from TV that had a lot of sockets and USB ports in white plastic which even had a shelf on top to put things! Looked really, really bad. Like a cheap, overly done gadget that maybe a teenager or first year college student would have in their room because you don't have to do any electrical work with it. You just plug it into the existing socket and you have what you need to plug in many more things than the 2 electrical plugs that were there before. And now can plug in things to recharge because it has USB ports too. But ugly and cheap looking as sin. So I ordered this Glossy Ivory ELEGRP USB Charger Wall Outlet which replaces the 2 electrical outlet we had there but now has USB too. So now my wife can do what she wants there. Charge her phone. Charge her Kindle. Plug in whatever she needs and it looks just like we had (Ivory color, NOT bright cheap white plastic!) She's very happy (she sent back and returned her contraption) and I couldn't be happier that I found this item because it was easy to install, has great charging power, still has electrical outlets and is a great value for the money! I had an old outlet in my house which had lost its "spring": plugs slowly just fell out. So I figured I could replace it. When I went looking, this plug appeared and I realized that nearly every public plug-in I'd seen lately - is like this: 2 regular plug spots PLUS 2 built-in USB charging-cord plug ins. It frees up 2 plug spots and lets you eliminate the adapter to go from plug to USB cord. The installation was a little bit of a hassle, but only because the plug I was replacing was decades old: screws that wouldn't come out and wires which were really stiff. But once I got to this replacement, things went smoothly. The "push-in" connections are nice (just trim the insulation, then shove the wires into the well-marked holes, then tighten the screws). And.... it just works. I have one USB port for my USB-A cord and another for my USB-C cord - and STILL have 2 sockets for a lamp. Happy. I ordered 2 more and intend to slowly change out the sockets in my house. Time to upgrade to the.... 1990's at least.

really nice to have an outlet for charging our phones without an additional box/plug! We updated our outlets recently as we are planning to sell soon, Probably will have to get a couple of these for the new home.

The 25 watt power rating is split between the 2 USB outlets. I would have given a 5 star if they were upfront with this and simply stated this in the specs. But no, they always try and dupe consumers.

Very tight and requires a deeper (min 2 1/2” ) deep box.Depth will be important if installing into a kitchen island.
