Roav by Anker Dash Cam C2 Pro

The media could not be loaded.  I just received this product yesterday and was looking forward to trying it in my car today, however, when I try to put the SD card that came with it, in the slot, it doesn't "click" in and springs back out which makes it the dash cam unusable. Already put in a request for a replacement. Will update my review when I get my replacement and try it out.*Updated review*I received my replacement dash cam just a few days before I took my family to Texas for vacation. From the time we left to when we got home 9 days later, we traveled more than 3000 miles. The dash cam was running this entire time and it worked flawlessly. I set the cam to record in 10 minute increments. I have uploaded a video so you can see the video quality. I recorded in 1080p @ 30fps, however, when I orignially uploaded it to YT, it downgraded to 720p. The mount to the windshield was solid. The cam did not shake or vibrate unless it was a very hard bump. It was also easy to change position of the cam (left, right, up, down) depending on what I wanted to record.The app used to connect to the dash cam is very user friendly and when you look at the videos on your phone, there is a speedometer, gforce meter, a compass and a map that highlights the route you were driving in that video. When you download the video, it's just the video - the hud overlay and map are not part of it.This cam is a little pricey compared to other brands you can get, however, the cost was worth the quality this dash cam provides.The only issue I seemed to encounter, which isn't a big deal honestly, is that the WiFi password didn't stay changed. It seemed to default back to the original password which is the same for every Roav camera it seems. The reason I say it's not a big deal is because the WiFi should be off unless you're downloading video to a mobile device.I also want to point out that the seller, AnkerDirect, contacted me to follow up with my issue, even though I had not reached out to them, to see how they could help resolve my issue and to see if my replacement was working properly. This is great customer service.

After spending a couple of days researching which dash cam I should go with, I have decided to settle on the C2 pro. At this price point, I do admit that only 1080p/30fps is quite lacking, but where resolution and fps fail, features and build quality stand out. The camera looks and feels solid, with a nice black finish to it. It also happens to come with a nice Samsung Evo plus 32gb micro sd card, a tool to help install the cable, a really long cable, and a 2 USB port car charger. Installation of the camera was straightforward and sticks on my windshield well. As for the features I like, this camera can be accessed via the app, which on Android works very well. Sensitivity of the g-sensor is also very high, even on medium sensitivity. There are also three different night vision modes which I am eager to, but did not have the chance to try out. There is also the ability to record audio and record the speed, date, and/or time of each video. My only complaint is the tiny built in battery life, but most dash cams have short batteries anyways.

This is a pretty great dash cam. The picture quality is pretty good day and night. It's fairly unobtrusive (if you put it in the right spot) and catches anything you see while driving. I don't know what else more to say, it's a video camera for your car.However, maybe it was just me but, I couldn't find anywhere that said it doesn't support more than a 32Gb SDHC card. I went out and bought a PNY 128Gb SDXC card UHS 3 class 1 V30 yada yada card and started using it. Popped it in, formatted it and off we go. Works like a charm... or so I thought. About a month into using it I realized it would seemingly reboot randomly, the screen would flick on and off (I have the setting to have the screen turn off after a timer) randomly and after looking at the data, I would lose whole trips or only have 2 second snippets here and there. I don't know if this is intended behavior because it seems odd to make a dash cam that record at 1080p but can't support a SD card larger than 32Gb. Anyways, that's just my findings so be aware of that when making your purchase.

After reading a lot of reviews I decide to buy this Roav by Anker Dash Cam C2. Now after one week using it I can speak better about it. It is a great dash cam,its movies have good day and night and raining images quality,its GPS and WiFi features are a must. GPS feature is great to prove your direction in case of accident. WiFi is great to transfer movies from the dash cam to your phone,where you can view images better,enlarging or pausing the images to se details better. You can also turn the dash cam 180 degrees to recording car interior,if you desire. Parking mode is also a nice feature,protecting your car against bad drivers. I'd like to suggest an improvement of the directions for use from Roav: It was difficulty for me to understand how to transfer files from dash cam to my android phone. The manual is poor regarding this issue. Another positive aspects: 32GB micro SD memory included,small dash cam but high quality,suction mount. AFTER 4 MONTH USING THIS DASH CAM I CAN CONFIRM THAT IT IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. RELIABLE. EXCEPTIONAL MOVIES.

Ich habe schon eine im längeren Einsatz und wollte nunmehr noch eine Zweite. Bin sehr zufrieden mit der Bildqualität. Zum Ton kann ich nichts sagen, da ich keinen Ton aufnehme! Das Stromkabel ist ausreichend lang und auch der Saugnapf ist recht stark. Im Sommer (38 Grad) ist Er einmal abefallen, als ich morgens einstieg. Wieder angebappt und schon hielt es bis heute :) Einzig die WLAN Leistung zum kopieren von der Kamera zum Telefon (iPhone) ist mit 2,5MByte/s jetzt nicht großartig, man muss eben etwas geduld mitbringen wenn man die 300MByte Files auf Handy lädt ;)). Aber im Grunde ist die Kamera und das Zubehör absolut zu empfehlen!

Einfach zu installieren und super in der Benutzung. Hat einen guten Winkel und die Bilder lassen sich schnell auf das Handy übertragen. Der Parksensor löst leider erst bei einer richtigen Erschütterungen aus, so dass ein leichter Parkrempler nicht aufgenommen wird.Für die Aufnahme des Verkehrs aber sehr gut geeignet. Das Kabel ist lang genug um es ordentlich zu verlegen.

Update 22.05.2020: erstklassiger Kundenservice von Verkäufer "AnkerDirect"!Am Anfang war ich zufrieden, doch jetzt Komplettausfall Display. Außerdem hält der Akku nicht sehr lange, nicht ausreichend für die Parkpplatzüberwachung.

Ich kann die negativen Kommentare nicht bestätigen. Ich habe die Kamera für knapp unter 40€ gekauft und für den Preis ist sie Top.Parküberwachung hält bei mir auf Akku mindestens 12 Stunden. Darüber hinaus habe ich es noch nicht getestet.Mein Gerät überhitzt auch nicht. Habe währen der Fahrt GPS an und WLAN aus.

update 15.1.22 Die Kamera zeichnet nun ohne wenn und aber auf und ich könnte die Sterne erhöhen. Aber warum auch immer, ist die Verbindung zur APP, schlechter geworden und auch die APP selbst bringt immer wieder Fehlermeldungen.Update 30.11.21 Ich hatte Anker angeschrieben und um ein Firmware update gebeten. Das wurde auch sehr kurzfristig beantwortet und ich konnte das Update dann auch recht schnell installieren. Nun werde ich testen ob die Kamera wieder von alleine aufnimmt. Ich habe auf 3 Sterne erhöht und werde weiter berichtenDie Kamera (seit 2019) wenn Sie denn arbeitet ist wirklich gut. Leider muss ich erst in die APP reingehen, dort löschen und erst dann nimmt sie ihre Arbeit auf. Es gibt scheinbar auch eine neuere Firmware, aber diese bekommt man nicht über Download sondern scheinbar nur über den support, was äußert seltsam ist. Auch das Thema Saugnapf, hier kann es vorkommen, das die Kamera willkürlich abfällt, was mich jedes Mal erschreckt, was im Straßenverkehr nicht hilfreich ist. Schade denn Anker Produkte sind normalerweise hervorragen. Alles im allem würde ich die Kamera zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht empfehlen.
