I like the operating system overall
This is my first smartphone. I like the operating system overall, but am still learning.I guess it was a mistake buying a phone with only 4GB of internal memory. It fills up pretty quickly with apps, since the operating system and packaged apps already take up almost half of the 4GB out of the box. And many apps cannot be transferred to an added micro SD card (I suspect that's because many apps integrate themselves to use other phone resources). At least as far as I understand it.The main problem with the phones (I bought 2 of them, for myself and the wife) is that they both malfunction when I added micro SDHC cards. I purchased new 32GB Sandisk Ultra micro SDHC Class 10 cards. The cards would work for a short time, but then each of the phones would eventually either lock up, or keep rebooting themselves indefinitely. After the cards were properly removed, the phones returned to normal operation.I suspected that the cards were overheating, but can't say for sure.On one of the phones, I later installed a very old 2GB micro SD card (not SDHC, and not Class 10 for sure), and that phone has been working fine ever since. So I guess my question is, why did the new Sandisk Ultra 32GB micro SDHC cards cause the phones to malfunction? The phone specs say it can use up to a "32GB micro SD card," but of course if you go over 2GB, it must be SDHC, not SD.Did the faster speed of the new memory overheat? I have sent an email support request to LG Electronics to get their take on this. I will update when I hear back from them.If anyone has any suggestions on this, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!

Like it a lot super durable but camera only 5mega pixel
I like this phone a lot and have had about 4 of them in the last few years & even though the camera doesn't have the best quality photos the phone seems to be super strong. I'm a rugged guy & have dropped in water, stepped on it, run it over with a my truck, left it outside for days in high humid conditions, talk on it in the rain(w/no case) had it fly out the window of my truck onto the road & still it continues to work without any problems or cracks in the screen. It has to be the most durable cell phone I've ever had, the reason I've had so many was I lost a couple of them & slammed one in the door of my truck which shattered the screen to where I couldn't see anything (but it still worked & was still able to transfer everything through a computer off of it) & the last one I still have. I just wished they would upgraded the camera to a higher mega pixel

If you are looking at this phone, read this: Great Hardware, but here is the "real deal" on why only "3 stars"
I bought this Verizon pre-paid phone to replace a old Verizon cell phone that I have.Note that I am certified in mobile devices, I have both a CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Mobility+ certifications. The good:- The phone is very fast to bootup, For the Android Version, is KitKat, which is 2nd from the newest Android O.S.- Google Play works great, and also on my PC and Laptop, the Windows 10 "phone companion" application does regoxine this phone for cloud \ syncing.- I had a 8GB MicroSD card that I installed that i had with some songs on it, and that is working great.- The speaker is nice and loud.. I have no issues hearing anything. The headphone jack on the top of the unit is awesome as well.- I only talking a few pictures with the 5 MP camera.. but it seems good to me.The bad:The one thing that REALLY made me not happy at all, was that I could transfer my Verizon phone number to this phone, but I COULD NOT keep my current pre-pay plan! There is only two pre-paid plans to choose from, and my existing minutes will not be rolled over! It's nice that there are posts on here that say that they could transfer there number and plans over with out any issues.. but not mine unless I want to pay more out of pocket.. Something is not right about that.. just be aware.- The other thing that i found strange.. is not packing slip on the inside of the box.. I'm calling Amazon on that one. because that's strange.Other tips: The "only" way to get out of the activation screen at the start up (if you just bought this phone for WiFi) is press the following buttons - Up, Down, back button (the arrow) and then the "home" key (the middle long front button). The best case that I have seen being sold here on Amazon for this phone is the ASHIELD.. also for reference it seems that the old name of this phone is the LG L70, Verizon just renamed it to LG Optimus Exceed 2.Conclusion: This "IS" a good phone hardware and software wise, and for the price who can beat it. Just beware of how Verizon tries to "hook" you into paying a higher plan. That may be ok for you.. or it may take more out of your pocket like me.
