High quality paper, binding, photos and writing!
If you're hesitant on purchasing this book, go and listen to Jocko's podcast with the author, Miha. Within the first half-hour, any concerns you had on the quality of this book would disappear. Miha is a well spoken, educated and intelligent person who's expertise is evident throughout the book. His ability to break down complex techniques into easy-to-follow steps is impressive. What truly sets this manual apart, though, is his engaging writing style. Not only is the content top-notch, but Miha also infuses the guide with quick-witted humor. To attest to his sense of dry and short humor, he recently addressed any potential CJI judging complaints by stating, “If you have complaints about my judging, I would love to hear them. To send one, buy my best-selling book, tear out the first page, write down your complaints and send it to me. If you have multiple complaints, I'd love to hear them. Buy another copy of the book and repeat the cycle until you hear back from me...” This cheeky comment is a great example of the type of wit Miha provides and makes the learning experience all the more enjoyable.I am one of those butt scooters who had some concerns about the -80kg finals match and took this obviously sarcastic comment to heart. Due to so much frustration, this will be my fourth time buying the book! The high quality of the paper and print makes it very easy to take notes, tear out, fold, and mail it to Legion! So far I have yet to get a response, but I hear Miha is already so busy with inquiries on seminars, how to be an expert judge, and even working on another book. Maybe I'll just have to attend his next seminar to air my complaints.

A Modern Classic for No-Gi Grappling
This book feels like Jiu Jitsu University by Saulo Ribeiro, but updated for the modern no-gi era. Even as a black belt, I gained valuable insights into fundamental positions. It’s a resource I reference regularly when teaching my students. Additionally, the supplemental materials, like video breakdowns, additional courses, and other materials, add tremendous value. Absolutely worth the price. Great work, Miha!

Must have for hobbyist and competitive athletes
I’ve been training gi and no gi for close to 2 years and this manual has not only polished my fundamentals game, but also has elevated my understanding of the mechanics of Jiu Jitsu. Its covers everything from standup, to heel hooks, to guard retention. The No Gi manual is a must have if you are serious about stepping up your game, specially if you are one of the elite 100 chosen to battle the one gorilla. A big plus is Miha’s writing; his combination of succinct, easy to understand explanations with witty commentary make the reading surprisingly fun for a martial arts manual. 10/10.

A practical guide
The framework in this book is excellent—clear, organized, and easy to follow. Miha does a great job illustrating different techniques in a way that makes them accessible, even for someone new to the sport. As a novice jiu jitsu practitioner, I found this to be a valuable tool in helping me understand not just the movements, but the why behind them. Highly recommend for anyone starting out or looking to strengthen their fundamentals in no-gi.

Probably the best book on no-gi jiu jitsu you can buy
This book is basically a bible on high-percentage moves in BJJ. If you're like me, and your goal is to improve as quickly and reliably as possible, this is for you. I love that Miha focuses on the key positions you're most likely to encounter and gives you a variety of options from them, along with pros and cons of each. To me, this is much better than the traditional way BJJ is taught: A little bit of everything thrown at you all at once. If you want to take full responsibility for your training and progress in the sport, buy this book. The video course is also well worth the investment--I hit several of the moves from it in both gi and no-gi competition recently.
