Perfect Life Book!
I’ve tried countless planners over the years, but nothing compares to the Hobonichi Cousin. This planner is a game-changer if you’re someone who loves structure and creativity.Pros:Daily Pages: A full A5 page every day gives me room for appointments, to-dos, journaling, or even doodles. It’s therapeutic and productive at the same time.Quality Paper: The Tomoe River paper is thin but holds up impressively well with fountain pens, gel pens, and mildliners. Minimal ghosting, no bleed-through.Layout Variety: With yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily spreads, I can zoom in and out of my schedule as needed. The weekly vertical layout is especially helpful for time-blocking.Build Quality: The binding is durable and the paper feels premium. Even after a full year, it holds up beautifully.Inspiration Everywhere: The quotes at the bottom of each page are thoughtful and sometimes surprisingly profound.Cons:It’s a bit thick and not as portable as some pocket planners — but I knew that going in. I use it as my home base and pair it with a smaller notebook for on-the-go.

its expensive, but its got a lot of features.
i work in freelance and i love to use this to keep track of my working hours (on the weekly planner). i used the monthly planner to keep track of travel dates, big events, and appointments. i love having a fully dedicated page for each day where i can keep track how i spend my time, check off a few key tasks, be inspired by the quotes. blank page at the start of each month is also great for looking ahead and reflecting back. there are a bunch of other cool features in the front and back of the book. i almost exclusively used fountain pens or pilot g2s and the tomo paper does not bleed through, but is very smooth, thin, and light weight. its a tool i enjoy using everyday and so its worth the investment for me. overall very minimalist with endless ways to use the space. been buying them for about 5 years now, and early days they only came in Japanese so i'm glad there's an english version now.

Lives up to the hype!
This is a super popular Japanese planner. After many years, I finally decided to go for it! I love it. The monthly, weekly, and daily sections allow for really detailed planning. I love how there’s a timeline on the daily pages too. The paper is thin because there’s a lot of pages to include, but not so thin that it causes problems. It’s wonderfully designed. I will surely continue buying these planners every year.

Top notch planner
Great planner that is more expensive than most, but worth it. Has monthly, weekly, and daily sections for plans along with higher quality paper. Most pens I've used on it do not bleed, and that's a plus. Also plenty of additional places to add quirky notes or highlights to the day. Thin paper that has almost a hemp-like feel.

Perfect for my daily journal entries
I have used a Hobo Cousin for the last couple of years as a way to keep a daily journal. Last year was the first year I wrote something every single day. I really enjoy the quality of the notebook. The paper took some time getting used it, but I love to write on it now. The size is perfect to sit out on my desk for ease of use. The monthly calendars are the perfect place for me to set up reminders for the major events, appointments and vacations for the month. I have not used the weekly spreads as much as I would like to, but I am continuing to work on that. My only suggestions is that I would like to have a few more notes pages at the back.

A long time favorite!
I have used the hobonichi cousins as a planner for a few years and love it. The paper quality always lives up to its reputation and is very nice to write on. I like that they have so many different options for start day of the week and what language the book is in. Layout is also nice for many different styles of planners, having a weekly, daily and monthly in one book. Will continue to use these in the future.
