In the parcel (and I am used to lifting heavy things) I found this more heavy than I thought and felt this was a good thing. Once built, and it took me about 45 mins mostly because the cat sits on instruction booklets or simply tries to build himself into the product, not useful, and I did need my cordless screwdriver, having started off manual.I think the needing of a cordless one also bode well as flat pack these days seem so flimsy and would not stand mechanical tool use.I love the rustic look, and once built, the initial parcel weight confirmed my thoughts, good product, not lightweight and flexing, and strongly built. I have brought lesser items at greater cost. Item is £75.99 at time of review.

This bookshelf is a awesome I was shocked by how heavy it was when it arrived, but that just shows how sturdy this thing is. It took me about 40 minutes to put together, and I definitely recommend using am electric screwdriver though! Once it's up, this shelf is rock-solid - no wobbling or flexing at all. For 76 quid, you're getting a really nice rustic-looking piece that can handle whatever stuff you throw at it. It looks absolutely wonderful!

I ordered this shelving set for my living room and had this assembled in about 30 mins using my cordless screwdriver, sizing is 180cm tall by 84cm wide and 30 cm depth. The shelves are really solid with no flex in them at all once slotted into the metal frame. All the screws and fixings were present, I did not have anything missing. There was one hole in the metal frame that was not accurately drilled, it was off by over 2 inches, I had to drill my own hole in order to get the screw and the wood of the shelf to line up, not a huge deal but this may be a common defect in the manufacturing process. I am to be quite honest astounded at how strong this product is once assembled, for anyone who has bought cheap flat pack furniture that sways about and held together with cheap panel pins, this will come as a revelation. Highly recommended although the price is reflective of the quality at £75 at time of review.

For the money, this is a very good multifunctional bookcase/shelving unit.It arrives flat packed so does require assembly but I found the instructions clear, the parts all numbered and lettered and everything was present - including the allen key.The whole build process took me (on my own), about 1 hr 30 minutes and I only made one small mistake with a shelf which I put in the wrong way round so that on the next step, the holes didn't line up - it was easily remedied.Once built it looks great, the fabric and wood drawers are easy to use and the only real note was a slight panel gap on one of the vertical sections - I've tried to show this in my photos - it doesn't affect use or stability though.Overall, I think this represents great value and is a practical, industrial looking unit that doesn't feel like it'll fall apart any time soon.

Yet to construct but I have two others the same but different shelving layouts. They are easy to put together, strong and look really good. I like that fact this one has a couple of storage drawers as well as variety of shelving so that it's decorative but functional. I like the industrial wood effect too. I'm happy with this product.

Easy to assemble with clear instructions, very sturdy once built , very stylish perfect finishing touch for any room
