Roav by Anker, SmartCharge F0 FM Transmitter/Bluetooth Receiver/Car Charger with Bluetooth 4.2, USB Ports, Poweriq, and Aux Output (No Dedicated App)

My prior experience is the 1st paragraph, not interested jump to paragraph 2After purchasing a$15 off-brand charger/FM transmitter that almost destroyed my phone when it blew up, it sounded like a tire blow out; it melted the USB cord and filled my Jeep full of smoke. I learned my lesson. After returning that I decided to spend a little more and buy a brand I was familiar with. Don't make the same mistake, buy any one that's made by or for Anker! Since then I've used it on a regular basis. It works great, charges my Motorola Moto G7 pretty quick. Before I replaced my factory head-unit I used the bluetooth to transmit the music from my phone to a blank radio station that I had programmed into the head-unit, this made it much easier to connect.The FM signal it transmits is strong so it comes in just as clear as local radio stations do, even better than some local stations. If you have poor FM transition to the radio make sure it's plugged into your 12 volt outlet all the way and firs snugly so it gets a good ground connection.My only pet peev is there isn't any way to turn it off & I have to remove it from the 12v outlet every time I get out of the Jeep; if not it stays lit up and will drain the battery. If your 12v is switchable (when the key turns) then you wont have this issue. For those of us who have an always hot 12 volt outlet it can be a problem if you forget to unplug it.Overall the build quality is great just like all the other products made by Anker. I also purchased 2 more of these to give as Christmas presents, they were happy and both are still in use.I also own a Zolo Halo, wifi smart speaker that has made me very dependent on Alexa, (purchased on 07-18-18) and a SoundCore Boost smart speaker (purchased 4-18-18) and it is amazing.

The Roav by Anker, SmartCharge FM Transmitter is a great product for the money.It quickly and easily connects to my phone and is the fastest bluetooth device I have used for reconnecting after the initial pairing. I can exit a vehicle the device is plugged into and when I re-enter the Roav automatically establishes a connection about as quickly as I can buckle my seatbelt.It is well made and feels like stronger plastic than many similar products I have owned or used.The sound quality is crisp and clear. It can distort, especially treble, if my phone's volume is set to max but that was expected. It works perfectly if I set the phone to mid volume and adjust the sound via the vehicle's audio system.It has a full range of FM stations to select from. I think most Bluetooth to FM transmitters offer this now but I have used a couple in the past that were limited to the lower end of the spectrum. Being able to pick from stations above 100.1 works well for me as I live very near to the Mexico border and I get bleed over from many stations that would normally be blank (in my experience) in areas of the midwest.The display is bright and easy to read even in midday sunlight. There is an audible "Waiting to pair" and "Successfully paired" when first powering it on and then connecting. It can fast change two devices at once (two phones in my experience, I have not tried it with anything larger like a tablet). Basically it is everything I need from an FM Transmitter that allows for bluetooth connection. It even has an auxiliary port although I have not tried it and do not know when I personally will need it, it is still a nice touch.For the price and quality build with ease of use I recommend the Roav by Anker.

It does a great job on phone calls, and when listening to audio from the phone. However, there is a lot of interference with other radio stations when it's plugged in, but not in use. It's annoying to charge and just listen to the radio, since many stations have a good deal of static. I usually unplug it when I'm not using it for bluetooth.

I have a 2011 Audi Q5 which preceded streaming from a cell phone or tablet.There other complicated remedies that require rewiring different things and connections in the glove-box, etc.I am THRILLED! I have found an answer that is SIMPLE and EASY with a no-brains setup!Nothing could be easier! Plug it into the cigarette lighter, pair it fast and easy, turn on the radio which was coincidentally tuned into the right station that the transmitter was set to. Maybe it found that station automatically?As quiet as a Q5 is, the SamsungTablet with its tiny speaker is not loud enough for the other person to hear and I have to hold it close to my ears to hear it. Now it plays through the car stereo system through Bang & Olufsen speakers at any volume I want.I like to stream YouTube videos; not music but mostly talking such as X22. It is so nice to be able to do that in my car now. I have not even investigated its ability to handle phone calls. I did get another one for my other car (2004 Jaguar) with no bluetooth which had a wired handset but pre-dated cell phone applications.The chargers are both strong enough so that my Samsung smartphone and tablet, does not say discharging faster than charging now!WORKS wonderful!

ANKER makes great products and they work great. I havent used a fm transmitter in about 10 years, since they first started to sell at radio shack. even the old one didnt work that great but ok, but cost more money. Now, these are a great product and cheap enough. I recommend this product 100%. I would definitely buy again if needed to.
