Perfect for maintaining a stable connection in high interference environments
Got your wireless router in the same room as your desktop? Experiencing issues getting a stable Bluetooth connection to your peripherals, even from like, two or three feet away?Chances are, whatever Bluetooth connection issues you have are due to excessive interference. Routers and other wireless devices will do it, as will crowded USB ports, especially USB 3.0. The antenna on this thing pumps out a stronger signal that's meant to work at longer ranges, but it also works for giving you more reliable short range connections in a high interference environment.Still, you'll probably want to plug it into a port that's not adjacent to any other ports in use, and you'll want to avoid USB 3.0 ports if at all possible, but hey, it's probably fine even if you don't.Nothing else to say, really. I was having issues maintaining a stable connection to my Dualsense over Bluetooth even with my desktop (and my old adapter) about two feet to my right, but this cleared it right up.

Extended Range Validated
Great Bluetooth adapter. I bought this so I can walk further away with my wireless headphones before things get 'choppy' with sound. I have walls blocked with bookcases and I can seemingly be more flexible with where I am at physically while still hearing audio from my PC fine. Short: I have extended range, and better reflected signals.Caveat for folks on Windows, is Windows seems to only use one Bluetooth adapter at a time. So if you have a laptop and plug this in.... it will be using the internal device/antenna. If you power cycle the laptop Windows will tend to use an externally plugged in Bluetooth adapter, like this. If you want, you can go into 'Device Manager', hunt down the 'Bluetooth' category, and disable the internal device. (restart for Windows to then always use the external device, regardless if plugged in on power on or not)If the device doesn't seem to be working, Google the model of device and "driver download" keywords to fetch the newest software for the device.

Gamechanger for bluetooth
I bought this for the extra range. My room is located in the middle of my house, but my old bluetooth adapter couldn't reach more than 10 feet away in any direction, so I couldn't use anything outside of my room without it cutting out. This adapter covers the whole house. It was extremely easy to find and download the driver. I got my earbuds and PS5 controller connected in seconds. I haven't had any problems with connection or lag.

Rough installation, Great performance
Installation kind of chaotic:I had to talk to Deepseek and have it help me install the driver on my Windows 10 gaming PC. In the end after 5 install attempts using the default driver and then the specific driver from the support website, I was able to install the driver and disable my PC's default bluetooth driver that comes with the Intel CPU by:Turning off FirewallsTurning off Anti VirusAnd running the driver setup.exe as AdminThis kind of sketched me out so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else bought this. I can say that worked and my computer didn't explode.Works Really well!Ok, lastly, I want to say I struggled with PS4 controllers not being able to connect to my PC and stay connected. In the past Idk how many things I tried to get the built in bluetooth card to work. I had the same issue with my last PC and so I thought I must be doing something wrong. The PS4 controllers would connect briefly but then disconnect often or whenever I tried connecting another one. SO I've have a hub with long cables all over the place just to be able to play wired with multiple controllers. I just want you to understand the trials I've endured to get a PS4 controller to simply work. Anyway, once this bad boy was up and running I've never had a problem and I could probably connect hundreds of controllers no problem, idk. But even with the installation difficulties, I love this thing like my own son.

Good quality usb bluetooth adapter
I had just installed a new motherboard and cpu to upgrade to win 11. I was get some odd noise on my bluetooth headphones and decided to upgade my bluetooth dongle. I followed the mildly cryptic instructions, downloaded the driver file from the tp-link site and ran the setup file. This lead to a reboot followed by adding my blue tooth devices to the new usb adapter. this when quite easily and soon I was back up and running. The noise problem seems to be gone and bluetooth range seems better, but I can readily quantify how much.My previous blue tooth dongle was more than 5 years old and was made for a lower bluetooth spec (5.1?).I feel like the price is good and the little antenna seems to provide extended coverage.Good Luck.. Happy Days

Worst Purchase Ever
I disabled all existing Bluetooth devices, both built-in and third-party, as instructed. Afterward, I had to contact tech support to locate the setup.exe file because their website features a multitude of products and devices, which required extensive scrolling. Once I installed the setup file and added my Bluetooth devices, I was extremely disappointed. I finally managed to connect my Bluetooth mouse after some effort. However, I encountered similar issues with my Bluetooth hearing aids. My hearing aids frequently cut out every other word, making it impossible to use them effectively. Consequently, I decided to revert to my original setup. I requested Windows to restore my original Bluetooth settings and then enabled my Bluetooth services in Device Manager. Given my limited technical expertise, I found the process to be more complicated than I had expected.
