It simply works.The value proposition for this is simple. Can it clean and refresh your filter in the advertised time better than just spraying the filter and save money with replacement cost.My finding, yes. See before and after photos

Takes a full bottle for one cleaning
I was surprised that the instructions say to put the filter into a 5 gallon bucket and fill with enough water to cover the filter and add the entire 32 oz of Bio Ouster cleaner. I couldn't fathom using a whole bottle to clean a filter just one time. That seems very wasteful and expensive! I figured it took about 4 gallons of water to cover the filter. So if 1 quart treats 4 gallons of water, then the ratio of cleaner to water is 1:16. So I used a smaller container just big enough to hold the filter and filled it with 2 gallons of water and half a bottle of cleaner and let it soak overnight. I sprayed off the filter according to the directions and it came out beautifully clean. So in this way, I'm able to use this product for two cleanings instead of just one. It does a great job of cleaning the filter, but it's just not as cost effective as I've experienced with other filter cleaning products.

Works fast and efficiently
Easy to use with size of bottle and starts to work right away.This is great for soaking filters and the filter system as a whole.The price point is excellent for this cleaner. No offensive or heavy smell. Great product at a great price.

Solid filter cleaner
This filter cleaner definitely helped restore my older hot tub filter. I let it soak for a few hours and then rinsed profusely. If you don't rinse enough it will suds up a bit, so it may even be beneficial to soak this in clean water after spraying off as well.
