ZOMAKE Hiking Backpack 35L Lightweight Backpack Water Resistant Packable Backpack Travel Daypack for Women Men

I bought this backpack for an upcoming, month-long trip to Japan. My main luggage will be a larger backpack (TLS Motherlode Weekender), but there are several points where I’ll be leaving my larger backpack behind and traveling for 1-2 nights with this smaller backpack instead. So, I wanted a backpack that is extremely lightweight, takes up very little room when packed, is waterproof, holds enough to act as an overnighter, and is comfortable to wear. I feel like I hit the jackpot with this backpack.To test it out, I used it as my carry-on for a 7-night trip to Hawaii. I’ve included three photos showing it packed for the trip. I managed to fit a 9x12” folder with about 1/2” thick stack of letter-sized paper, 5 sketchbooks (I’m testing them too), two bags of pens and other art supplies, a bag of sundries, my iPad, phone, wallet, earphones, a cardigan, water bottle and all the other little stuff one carries on a trip. You can see all of this in the first photo. The second photo is a peak inside the bag with it full packed and still room to spare. The backpack has one large inner compartment, with an unpadded laptop sleeve sized big enough to easily fit the folder, iPad and my two largest sketchbooks. The large compartment is generously sized and will easily fit a small or medium packing cube along with toiletries and a smaller selection of art supplies for my Japan trip. There are also two zippered compartments on the front. The top compartment easily fit my wallet and smart phone. The half moon pocket below is quite large, and further divided inside with a pocket, and a zippered mesh pocket to make it easy to organize all your little things. There are also two mesh water bottle holders - one on either side, and the top elastic held my water bottles quite securely. My third photo is of the backpack with the aforementioned load. (Notice there’s still room to spare.In Hawaii, I used the bag almost every day when going on different excursion. Despite its lack of padding, the wide shoulder straps distributed the load quite evenly and I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was, even with a heavy-ish load and longer (mile plus) walks. It also rained on us for the first two days of our trip, and I can now confirm that the backpack is waterproof as well. The only thing I didn’t love were the chest straps. As a woman, I found they were placed just a little lower than was optimal. They can slide up and down for best fit, but the highest placement was still a little low, but not so low that I couldn’t use them for extra security when hiking over more uneven terrain. The fourth photo, shows the chest strap buckled. (You can also see the bright orange emergency whistle/buckle - not my favorite feature)The last photo, I tried to show the backpack’s profile when worn. Bought this backpack after friends couldn’t recommend it highly enough. They used it daily for 5 weeks during a European trip to carry bottles of water, lightweight jackets and the days’ purchases, and they loved it. I have not had a chance to use it yet since I just received it 2 days ago, but based upon their rave reviews and my own close inspection of the backpack, I feel at this time it is reasonable to give it a 5 star. I will add to this once we use it on our own 3 week trip to Italy to confirm the 5 star or to lower the rating. I thought it would be difficult to unfold or that once I did the backpack would be misshapen and wonky, but it was absolutely fine. Also I thought it would be difficult to return it to the small compact size, but that was also very easy. I will add one caveat, and it’s not necessarily good or bad, just to make sure it’s the right backpack for the right consumer. It is a very lightweight backpack and should be comfortable to carry around urban areas and small villages. I cannot say for sure, but it probably wouldn’t be something I would trust for a trek through the Andes mountains filled with camping tools. I could be wrong and maybe it would work, but personally I’d opt for something sturdier. That being said, it is not cheaply made and I believe this was designed for the traveler wishing to have something that will not take up much room in a suitcase for lightweight useage, and this definitely fits that need. To illustrate: sometimes I wear ballet flats, other times I wear running shoes, and still other times I wear hiking boots, depending on the need, and it’s sort of like that with this backpack. An 8% coupon comes with the backpack toward the next purchase, and I received a very professional and welcoming follow-up email the next day from the manufacturer making sure I was pleased with the purchase which was a welcome change from most transactions.

Great take-along for our 12 day Ireland trip. It folded away to next to nothing while in the suitcase, and on arrival was very handy used as a day pack on excursions. I did add a small carabiner on the main zipper to make sure it stayed zipped, just being OCD. Inner pockets were just right, mesh pockets on outside perfect for umbrella and water bottle. The zippers held up even when I overstuffed it. While not advertised as waterproof, it shed the frequent rains. Turned out this pack was necessary as a carry-on to get the souvenirs home It got filthy along the way, but washed up good as new. This was a worthwhile purchase, it will be traveling with me again.

This is the perfect size or my hikes. I love it! Chest strap for stability and I love the way it folds up into itself for storage.

I love this bag. I went on a trip to Europe where I had a suitcase and a rucksack for all of my items I'd like immediate access to so this foldable bag was perfect for unfolding, packing my essentials for the day and heading out. I didn't have to carry my heavy rucksack around Europe everywhere I went, I just had my nice, light-weight Zomake. I was able to carry all of my items and all of my parents items throughout the trip whenever we went out and all of us couldn't stop commenting on how convenient it was. When I was traveling to a new place, I'd just fold it up and put it in my rucksack.On my way home from my trip I was unable to pack all of my items in my suitcase and rucksack so luckily I was able to just unfold this bag and place all my extra items in it. Easy to fold back up, I highly recommend it.

I also have bought other brands here on Amazon. This one stacks up and looks better than some. I like how it came in a package that seems a little water resistant. Plan on using it as a travel pack to go in the luggage so If I decide to go on a mini day hike, I can easily bring some supplies. I like the fact that this one has a center strap which others did not. Material is as expected, a light weight material, but expected that. Arm straps have a little padding it seems, so I think they will be comfortable enough. All in all, I think this is a good product.

i suffer from a bad back and was looking for something lightweight and packable, and this totally fitted the bill. It is a good quality, comfortable, lightweight rucksack. It has just been seriously tested over three weeks as my main cabin bag on several long haul flights, days hiking in rainforests, city exploring and at the beach. It's held lunches, waterbottles, my DSLR camera and lenses and loads of other bits. it's been pulled around a lot, and it still looks as good as the first day!i like the separating compartment in the main bit of the bag, so my tablet was easily accessible, and loved the zip up net pocket within the front pocket, as it meant i could zip my purse away and feel confident I won't lose it.My only minor concern was that in a very hot and very humid environment the colour from the rucksack rubbed off into my white tshirt, as it was damp. Not sure if it's colourfast if it gets wet. That said, the stain completely washed out of the shirt ok.Totally recommended.

Also man darf jetzt nicht ein High End komfortding versprechen aber er erfüllt seinen Zweck. Wenn man am Backpacking ist und sich auf wenig bis leichtes Gepäck verlassen muss ist dies der perfekte Begleiter. Auch so wenn man beispielsweise Einkaufen gehen will oder eine "Nottasche/Rucksack" haben will ist dieser Rucksack perfekt. Der lässt sich nämlich so klein zusammenfalten, dass er in einer Tasche oder ähnliches kaum auffällt.Ich kann diesen Rucksack uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

WOW! Simply one of the best purchases of the year....I mean, a rucksack that folds away into itself and the quality of the item for £13?? So yeah, you can buy one to fill with more of the foldable beauties just to prove you can put X amount of said foldable rucksacks into itself? Naaaa joking aside, this is amazing to be honest and so cheap BUT such good quality I would definitely consider it to be one of the top 5 (out of approx 70) buys this year based on usefulness and value for £. Work, sports, walks and so many other uses as it’s full of pockets etc.Definitely recommend and will also buy again when this one has been ruined at work. 3 weeks in and still no signs of damage and it has been put to the test believe me!

This is everything..and more. It's extremely lightweight, but not flimsy. There are numerous compartments for all essentials when walking. I took it to "trial" for walking in Northumberland, in readiness for my annual walking holiday in Majorca (due June 2019). It's going to be ideal in my luggage as it's compact and light, but opens up into a sturdy strong backpack. Worth the money. Thankyou

I used this on a recent holiday and it was brilliant. Managed to pack a lot into it when going out and about during the day. Dreaded having to fold it up and pack it away but it was easy!I've had to update my review as have just used this for the second time and the top pocket has come apart at the seams - very disappointed.** UPDATED**I contacted the seller and within three days they have despatched a replacement. Excellent service.
