Yep, that‘s a skylight hook for an old window
Dang expensive little hook. The hook I had to replace lost the set screw that holds it in place. This one fit and works just fine. I am glad because I didn’t want to have to deal with replacing the whole mechanism.The white paint flakes off quickly when you use the reaching stick to open and close the skylight. I expected this to happen.

They Work Fine
It fits on my old window pole. I simply cut off the old broken one with a tude cutter and the new one slipped on with no problem. It saved my money by not having to buy a new pole.
