I bought this more as a deterrent and have it facing outwards into garden due to recent vandalism to cars in street. I have it on a window sill facing cars. In daylight the picture is excellent and can see very clearly. At night it will not work through the glass and all I see is a reflection of the sensor lights. I have put it out of the window and closed it with the lead shut in the window. So won’t be able to put it out in the rain. The picture and night vision is ok and can make out figures approaching so if a vandal was to damage car I could see where they came from. It was ok to set up, took a few attempts and wouldn’t let me set up with phone number, had to use email. I’ve put a SD card in it and it records in 30 min intervals. Recording is a bit hard to understand so I did manually rather than programming. Looks cute like a little robot. I’d say for the money this is far better than expecte. I will probably get a better quality outside camera for the future and use this to spy on my dog in the daytime when I’m at work.

Note that the camera will also detect a change in lighting, but great value for money.

From reading reviews of this item it's obvious there are several different versions. Mine didn't have 'voice setup', in fact it was very awkward to set up on my wifi. I was quite pleased when I finally got it installed and screwed to a shelf where I could use it to spy on the cats. THEN the sun went down, and the picture just got dark. I've got infrared security cameras so I knew what to expect, but this camera doesn't have a night-vision 'chip' as far as I can tell. So it gets dark and you don't see anything. Returned.

Got this as my last IP camera lost connection when we changed network password, it not a bad price, the APP is easy to use and find, did take a while to work out how it worked as last camera i had only needed to be plugged into a USB port this needs to be plugged into the mains, which i didn't expect but its not an issue as i have somewhere i can place it near a mains supply.There is a USB slot but it takes some finding to make it easy to find its under the round ball, the lens has to be looking up for it to be visible.Now its all set up it working good, you can move the lens around with your finger on the screen of your phone to see around and you can hear through and talk through it, Happy with it but make sure you have a mains socket close by.

I bought the camera to use as an indoor security camera facing the back garden. It is easy to install and the app works well. The camera has a wide angel and reasonably good quality pictures. clear picture both during day and night time. The motion detection is very sensitive. I receive alert whenever there is movement outside. I could also move and tilt the camera to see inside the house as well as outside. This is a very useful feature. I used it to check if I left the cooker on when I was outside.

Very quick delivery . I bought for viewing cars in my drive , brilliant picture and sound , not really suitable at night as the lights on the window affect view but when the security light comes on it’s brilliant picture again but it is meant for indoor . You get alot for the money , timer , alarm 2 way audio . Sd card so you can review recordings also whilst viewing you can record the parts you want or take images . I am planning on getting another one soon . Brilliant

it took awhile to set it up but apart from that, I am very please with it.

This is truly awful do not buy!! Spent nearly an hour trying to pair the my WiFi, the instructions are for a completely different camera and when I did manage to complete the pairing it wouldn’t let me connect because the password was wrong! Yet the password you enter is prompted but the software. I’m not a novice at setting things up but this one has beaten me and I have no choice but to return it. I suggest you save your time and money and buy a different type.
