Cocoon Nylon Tropic Traveler Sleeping Bag

Note: this is a rectangular sleeping bag, not a mummy bag.The Cocoon Nylon Tropic Traveler Sleeping Bag is a bit of travel luxury. The lining has a silky texture. The materials and construction are first rate. Not sure I'd use it for primative (tent) camping, but for a visit at a friend's house or in a hotel where the linen's aren't quite as fresh as you'd like, this is *very* nice. The comfort range is tropical, 40ish to 70s, but I think I'd want an extra liner or long johns for the 40s.It's part of the Design Salt Cocoon series, so there are a wide range of liners available, from silk to fleece, for comfort, added warmth, and to make cleaning easier.Overall, it is a nice product, but I'd rather get the  Cocoon Silk Mummy Tropic Traveler Sleeping Bag .E. I use a bag on my bed at home, not for camping. Wanted this one for spring and fall -- maybe even summer -- something lighter and more comfortable than the heavier one I use in the winter. It's perfect. Flattens out, light but surprisingly warm when I tuck it around me and cool enough when I don't. Smooth nylon, very pleasing to the touch.

This was a little warmer than I thought it would be. They say "for 77-degree to 48-degree temperatures." I have another sleeping bag that is rated for 40 degrees and this sleeping bag is just as warm but much, much thinner. Still, it is nice and long. Over all I like it.

Great product, great price. Used it in the mountains of Costa Rica. I bought two of them and zipped it together for my girlfriend and I. She is 6', and the both of us fit nicely. They are warm, light, and compact. I don't know what else I can tell ya ;)
