It's a great size, much smaller than my phone but big enough to make it easy to use the screen and have plenty of room to read what is on it. So far I have primarily used basic recording feature, it can save recordings and if you are connected to wifi immediately transcribe them to read. It has picked up voices both nearby and further away making it great for meetings, I am sure it would work well for lectures also. It does a good job accurately recording everything clearly. It's easy to navigate through all the recordings and change the names as needed. This is the main reason I bought this, but it also has lots of other neat features. You can ask it questions and it will give you quick responses or summaries, you can use it to translate in real time, take pictures with it to ask it questions about an image or to translate written text. With quick tests all of these worked well, I'm excited to continue using the additional features but at a minimum the voice recorder functionality I bought it for works great.
