Levine Hats 9th Street Charles Firm Felt Homburg Godfather Hat 100% Wool

This hat came within 3 days. It was shipped in what I'll call a flat hat box. Not the rounded type, and that was in a shipping box. I originally ordered from a different company one made by Scala called the Godfather. It was also well made but too large in an XL and they weren't getting Large's in for many weeks. So I found this one. This was shipped way more professionally. My head is between an L and XL. I took it to a hat shop who steamed and enlarged it to the right fit. Very well made. I've gotten compliments already. I bought it to go with my new beard and my winter overcoat. Probably not the type to wear it every day. I would highly recommend this brand and seller!

This hat came in it's own box, all arranged so that it was ready for a long journey. Then that box with the hat was place in a shipping box, nice and snug. Every thing worked as it should. The hat got here in nice shape, no scrapes or bruises.I thought the hat looked great as pictured in Amazon. Actually, the picture didn't do the hat justice. When I put the hat on for the first time, it sort of snuggled on to my head, warm and soft, fit was perfect.The feather decoration is just right. This isn't my first hat, but to this point, my best hat. This is not a hat that will crush or pack well. It is properly treated with stiffener to hold it's shape. If you are going to travel with this hat, wear it, don't put it in the box to hide it.If your are considering purchasing this hat, don't have second thoughts. Punch that "Buy Now" button.

Unlike many Homburgs, the brim on this one has a slight bow from front to back which I think adds a little flair. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the hat being firm had a pinch effect on my head. next size up would be too big. I corrected this problem with a hat jack, and a little steam. For the money...you can't go wrong with this hat.

Received in less than 3 days. The hat is VERY nice and fit perfectly. Use their chart and measure carefully. My measurement was 23 7/8 so I ordered an XL. This is not a soft everyday hat. It is a starched dress hat. It came extremely well packed- double boxed and bagged. Yes it did come with a nice feather , a bow on the left hand side, and nylon stitched around the edge of the brim.

this is a Quality Hat no Doubt about it...I am a Medium in Most Hats and a Large in some...I ordered the Medium based on the Size chart...The hat is a Tad too small...so if I had to order it again i would Try the Large...But I am Hoping there is Some way to Stretch this a Bit as it is ever so Close to Fitting...So I would Err on the Size up Next...But it Does Not take away from the Quality.

Measured my circumference and selected size based on it and the size they reccomended was way too large. Also, they advertised a "cotton headband" to reduce sweating and my hat had a leather sweatband, and yes, it makes me sweat a bunch!! No feather either like the picture shows. Still like the style tho and get a lot of compliments on it.

I've enjoyed my humbug hat since I've gotten it. No complaints whatsoever. The key is everybody to know your head size when ordering yourself a hat. And if you think you know your head size with regular has go one size up ordering has like this. Word of advice if you wear a medium get a large ect.
