Best investment!!!
This has saved me so much time fixing flats. The conventional plugs kept falling out from the tire. Finally tried these and they hold so much better that the old school tire plugs.

mixed feelings about this device
I'm into "gadgets" and this thing caught my attention. I had gotten a small leak in my rear motorcycle tire and it's a pain to try and remove the wheel on this bike so I tried to fix the leak w/ this device. There is definitely a learning curve to this! I made plenty of mistakes at first. I also modified the device so that instead of the "mushrooms" being inverted when inserted into the gun, they are in their normal position as they're being inserted into the tire. I see that the company has since brought about a modified version of this gun that does something along the same line. I think this tool CAN work and in theory it seems like a good idea but those "rope" repair kits you can find everywhere will probably do at least as good a repair job, if not better, especially if you use rubber cement when installing those plugs. That isn't an option for this device. As a result, the flexing of the tire after repair is finished tends to "milk along" the plug toward the inside of the tire eventually having the plug "fall into the inside of the tire" and then the leak becomes obvious again. The less tire thickness you have for the plug shaft to grip on to, the more likely (and sooner) this "milking behavior" will show up. I've had too many times where the plug got squeezed into the inside of the tire while I was away from home -- I was lucky to walk home but it could have been a lot worse. Again, I think the concept is legitimate and has some good features -- it's just not refined enough for my depending on it if I'm very far from home. The "4 stars" is for the design idea but if rating it from a functional standpoint, I'd give it 2-3 stars.

Plug won't stay in tire
Stay away from this mushroom plug. Gave it 2 attempts to fix my tires and my wife's tires and it just doesn't work. The plug gets stuck in the tube used to fit it into the tire and when you pull the plug comes back out with it. Had to go back to the sticky strip to stop the leak. Do not recommend.
