I've purchased this product a few times before and although they can be a little more expensive than other brands, I didn't mind spending a little more because they were good quality. I recently purchased another 4 boxes and was surprised to find that they're not made with the same material as before. They're noticeably thinner and more flimsy, which is disappointing since the thicker material was what I liked about it. It also doesn't have that smooth layer that seems to protect the folder. The ones I just received feel like paper so if it gets wet, it'll probably get soggy. If you're looking for something more durable, I wouldn't recommend these anymore as they're not the same quality as before.

These are great for organizing documents. Durable, they hold up very good

Since introducing these folders to my waterproofing business it has completely overhauled our whole filing system. No longer are documents falling out the manila folders. We switched out every project and every vendor folder to these folders . They are well made, can expand, and have multiple uses. You can place contracts, billing, material invoices and correspondence in its own section! You can house insurance policies from every year into one folder. You can use them for vendors you pay and have a section for each year instead of creating a new folder every year.Every area gets labelled and anyone can readily access the information and find what is needed. It is neat, organized and looks so professional!!I have even started using these at home for medical information on all my kids and to hold all my utility bills in one folder.Want them in different colors and if possible even bigger sizes with more tabs!!! Please SMEAD make more colors!!!!

My mother has been a community health RN for about 14 years, and with hundreds of patients, it is necessary to store their information in files. For many years, my mother used old flimsy folders, but since upgrading to these sturdy folders, she has less stress. She no longer has to punch holes into the folders, feed fasteners through them and keep them in place with a clamp. These folders already have fasteners (built in) and it is such a time saver. She no longer has to unclamp the fasteners, taking the entire folder apart just to add a few extra pages. She can now add pages by opening the fasteners and bending them right back into place. The divider makes organization so much easier. Instead of having to sift through pages of information, she can separate each into their own sections and there's no more hassle.She is updating her filing system one month at a time. Being on a nurse's budget, she buys 2 boxes every few months and is planning on updating all of her patient's files within a year. My mother simply loves these folders and she highly recommends them to anyone who is short on time and in need of fast organization.

Excellent source to keep files in order. This particular set of folders is being used at work to keep important documents in order based on categories that was labeled with a label maker/machine. It’s nice to have a folder versus a stack of unorganized paperwork.

I am a mental health therapist and use these file folders daily. I open and close the tabs and bend them open and shut over and over and LOVE that they don't break! Also, I love that the metal tabs are covered in a soft plastic. The other file folders I bought (that were more expensive!) used metal tabs that weren't covered and they would rip into the paper after a while. not cool to have papers floating around in a file while trying to take notes.Also, The pressboard is VERY sturdy. I've been using this type of file folder for 5 years now, and because if the sturdiness and the tabs, I keep going back to this Smead Pressboard. The color is also the same in the picture. I'll definitely keep buying this product!

Very well constructed folder. If any kind of complaint it would be that if handled too much the oil on your fingers will leave marks on the material.
