It's always worth the upgrade
We needed a dehumidifier for the winter, and there's loads on the market. I needed something quiet, easy to move around, and that wouldn't take the mickey with electricity uses. Like I said, there's plenty out there, and plenty more with bells and whistles. We've had this a couple of weeks, and I'm happy to say it's worth the price. The brand lives up to its reputation. It came well packaged, was easy to get working (great, clear instruction book) and it has done what it said it would do. We especially love the laundry mode. Put up your wet clothes on a dryer, set up the device and let it do its thing. It dries our clothes, no more wet-dog smell or damp clothes hanging around. It's cheap to run too.It doesn't have wheels (no bother for us, but some people might need them) and it's not the lightest thing, but I can pick it up and move it around. The tank is big too, so no need to empty it every hour. It turns off automatically when the tank is full, or when the timer you set has run out.

Whisper quiet and effective
This is the first dehumidifier I've purchased as I don't have damp mouldy wall problems but it can get vey humid with condensation on the windows which leads to mould around the windows. This MeacoDry ABC dehumidifier 10L is perfect for solving this issue as it's compact but still very effective. There are 2 fan speed settings with both running quiet, in fact I always run it on the higher speed as it's quiet enough for me not being obtrusive even being in the same room. There is also a digital display showing the relative humidity in the room with settings to regulate the humidity you want which automatically switches off the machine when it reaches the target humidity. There are other features which are described in the product description which makes it a very capable dehumidifier.Using it to help control humidity and window condensation as well as drying laundry on an airer and for both it works very well and cheap to run. Also very easy to move from room to room with the handle on the back. If you're looking for a good quality capable dehumidifier for humidity or condensation control then in my opinion this is perfect.I'm mainly impressed with how quiet it is, how well it works and the high quality. I am very happy with this and recommend you get one, even if it's just for drying laundry as it's a lot cheaper than running a tumble drier.

Quiet and efficient
I bought this for two reasons. I wanted it to help me dry laundry in winter, as I don’t have room for a tumble dryer. I had also noticed some mould around a bedroom window and wanted to dry out this other room. The brand was recommended when researching online and this was recommended by Which. My reading in the mould bedroom was initially 90. After leaving it on through the working day it reduced to 56 and the tank was pretty full. I shall keep using it in there.I hung a full load of washing in a small bedroom; hoodies, trousers, sports socks etc. after six hours in laundry mode it was mostly dry. I left it on in normal mode for a couple more hours and it was thoroughly dry. This will really improve my life in winter.I don’t find it too heavy to move, but I need to carry it with both arms. Each time I’ve emptied the tank, I have moved it very carefully but there has been a very small pool of water on the floor. This might be something to do with how I’m removing it (I have wooden floors so I can see it.)When drying laundry in the small room the room felt slightly warmer than the other rooms in the house (with the heating off). There was no noticeable difference in temperature when using it in a large bedroom to dry out the room.Something to bear in mind is that mine was delivered by DPD a day earlier than stated. This suited me, but you may need to make arrangements for this if you are ordering for the one day when you will be at home.Edited to add:I have worked out why there was a small pool of water on the floor after removing the tank. As this had also been mentioned by other reviewers, I thought I would add it here. There is a small hole at the top of the door to open the tank, which I had assumed was a finger hole for removal. This meant I was tilting the door slightly after hooking it with my finger. I have discovered that the actual way to open the door is by placing fingers in the two vertical ridges to the right and left of the door. This ensures you can pull it out without tilting. No pools of water when I use this method 😊.

Quite quiet on low!
Like how quiet it is on the low sertting but did not realise that a compressor dehumidifier is like a fridge si recommend it is not used in a small space where people are as it is like a blast chiller. Doesn't half remove moisture mind! Very good dehumidifier. Compact but quite a lump in weight but easy to push around. Not too keen on it shutting off before the tank is full and also that the gimmick 'Laundry' button simply turns it on to 'high' but it does the job it was intended for very well. If you require a dehumidifier expressly for laundry though, go for at least the 12 liter or one where the vent actively move. Good machines.
