Sierra Designs Men's Hurricane HP Accelerator Jacket

I love this jacket! I am a bit heavy and have difficulty finding a decent jacket that fits well through the torso, with good length, and arms that don't drag the ground when worn. This jacket has it all: Fits through the middle, sleeves not too short/long, and covers most of my bottom. The extra lining makes it warm enough to wear in 25+ degree temperatures, at least when exposure is limited to 30 minutes or less. On really cold days or days in which more exposure to the elements was required, I added light (Sierra Designs) down vest and remained comfortable in warmth and fit. How dry does it keep me? I tend to avoid hurricanes, but on an average wet day with limited exposure, it was great.

Nice Jacket, but would have preferred a coat with snaps and a zipper. Didn't realize it when purchased. But still a good coat otherwise.

Great jacket this is the second one we have my husband has the same jacket different color they love them.

I bought this raincoat for my husband for his birthday. He likes it because it is warm but doesn't give you a clammy feeling. We get lots of rain here in Southeast Alaska and it works well doing its job as a raincoat. Its light weight, not bulky and even works well as a wind blocker when its not raining.

My jacket purchased about five years ago at REI is not the HP model. Excellent overall but the front zipper is of extremely poor durability. I like this jacket tremendously, but the lack of a metal or more durable quality front zipper is extremely disappointing. I am calling the company's 800 number to find out if I can purchase a new zipper and repair it myself. I will update regarding the outcome..... the jacket can be repaired by the company, and they will quote me a price before proceeding.... the plastic fine-toothed plastic zipper is the problem.....larger toothed zippers in plastic or metal do not fail as quickly.

not to heavy and and a little thicket with some insulation as compared to a shell type jacket.The material is good quality with attention to detail. the vent pockets make the jacket wearable for casual walks or runs in cool weather. Great bang for your buck!

We ordered this jacket for our son who rides his bike to the university every day here in Oregon. He loves it! Longer tail in back, well taped seams around zipper area. Vents and handy pockets. A dry pouch was also included and has a clip to attach to the jacket. Everything the manufacturer said it is. Super fast delivery, too.
