This is the best product ever for someone who is doing accutane. I cannot recommend it enough. The only thing is that the taste and smell is not great, but totally worth it. I was putting on aquaphor all day everyday just to survive before but it wasn’t healing it. This helps to actually heal your chapped lips not just look like they are moisturizing them. Worth all the of the pennies imo. I reapply every couple hours still and it’s not like accutane healthy lips but pretty dang close. Love!!

Yeah, my mind is blown. I bit my lip about a week and a half ago, and it is taking forever to heal, no matter how much Aquafor or Carmex I use. Just hoping those would suffice, I hadn't even looked into an alternative. Finally, after it just kept opening up, I looked up recommendations for severely chapped lips/lip injuries and found Cortibalm. Seeing how many people reviewed it, and it almost has 5 stars (along with the low price), I ordered it. Came in 2 days later, but so it goes. Wish it hadn't, because IT WORKS. The lip injury is no longer drying out prematurely, peeling, or opening back up. For one thing, I put it on, as soon as it arrived, took a shower before bed, and my lips were still pretty hydrated from the Cortibalm. I reapplied it, and then I woke up to STILL HYDRATED LIPS, as well as, a smaller, less painful scab that is staying within the perimeters of the wound (as in, it's not some large, irregular size trying to decide if it's going to get worse or not). Anyway, all to say, if you have severely dry lips, bit your lip, or have any sort of cold sore, definitely purchase this item.

Really really works! Had a very uncomfortable lip burn from the winter around my lips. I tried everything. Used this and it restored my lips and the problem was gone! Few months later had it again, and I had lost this product and I ordered it again. Provides immediate relief. Can’t say enough good stuff about it. Worth every penny.

Stopped my lips from the endless licking and itching and drying cycle. Very glad. However, I removed one star due to the fact that it does contain a steroid (hydrocortisone) which can become addictive so I hear? Just use caution when using it. Try not to use it all the time :)

So grateful I found this product!! I carelessly spent time in the Hawaiian sun without proper lip protection (turns out gloss is not protective!) what a rookie move! I destroyed my poor lips! Nothing was helping after a week of so much pain, swelling, blistering. Almost went to the Dr. but gave this a try and how amazing it is! Healing started on day one! No after taste or weird smell. It just works and it will be my go to healing balm, although I don't plan to burn my lips like that again. The pics below show before on left, 2 days ago, and after on the right, today! I'm thinking just a few more days and they're healed! Yay!

This stuff is the holy Grail in winter time! I can’t believe I have never used this until this winter, but it is a game changer. Absolutely recommend for severely chapped or flaking lips.

So, this lip balm is perfectly fine. If it was half the price, I'd give it 4 stars. Because I paid $8.00, before tax, I deducted a star. I bought this after seeing it recommended on WireCutter. It's pretty good, glides on better than some "bargain" brands, but I wouldn't necessarily rate it above Northridge Oak's Lemon flavored Shea Butter lip balm, which is only $3 per stick. It may be slightly thicker. I have to apply both fairly often to my chronically chapped lips. If you can afford $8 for lip balm, you probably won't be disappointed, but, if you struggle financially, as I do, you aren't gaining much by paying more.
