Hi. We have dirty electric, far more so than a lot of other places so I'm told. My computer went haywire every time I turned it on. The mouse acted like he was either drunk, zombized or coming down from a year long over dose. Stuttering, hesitating, jerking and jumping about, there-then not there at all! Crazy thing drove me mad no matter what I done. Even bought two new mice-then the keyboard started doing it's own crazy thing. press 1 key and get maybe 25 letters or jumbled up mess of #'s all over the place. Now I really was getting close to losing my mind-bought anew keyboard-acted the same way. Finally gave in and took it to be worked on-couple hundred dollars later, wiping out half my stuff and windows 10 and then, just by chance, when it STILL done the same things at home but not in this man's business-I just happened to mention it "acts like it gets possessed when I plug it in at home". To which he said, "Do you have really dirty electric?" He said I needed an AVR, with or w/out a battery backup. I chose this one-bXterra-it sounded like exactly what I needed in every way and I took a chance and MAN! WAS IT WORTH EVERY PENNY! I haven't had one single problem since buying it! If your having problems like I was or have 'dirty' electric or need a great battery back up, this right here is the best! I bought another to use with the computer in my bedroom and I'll never buy anything but this brand should I need another. There are different sizes and strengths but this one does me fine. I merely unplug it from the wall when it storms and push the little button on front to turn it off and when the storms are gone, I plug it back in and turn it back on and PERFECTION! Can't say enough good things about it or the company! I'm positive any one with the troubles I was having would get the same results with this. Do yourself a favor-DO NOT HESITATE-BUY! Fire

The bXterra 1500AVPLCD has secured good reviews. Count me as another satisfied purchaser.I was most concerned about the risk that the UPS I was about to purchase could start a fire or in any way be unsafe to my other computer equipment. There are concerning reviews of various UPS units manufactured by several of the big name competitors in the UPS marketplace. So I took a chance on the bXterra unit. I have no complaints with my new bXterra unit. The unit is very well constructed. It runs quietly and is emitting no noticeable amount of heat. Also, the control software that works with the system is nicely designed and easy to use.

I have purchased at least three similar UPS systems in the past from different vendors and it has paid off - twice it has save my equipment. These systems I also believe improve the performance and longevity of your equipment. Just my opinion though. This device is well designed with an emphasis on design. It looks sharp - like a component in the entertainment system. The front panel easily removes to replace the battery - I checked as that has been a real hassle in the past with other brands. Installation and set up was very simple, control panel is easy to read. Plenty of outlets. The warranty is favorable too because the real proof at how good these systems are comes during storm season.

The first night i had this UPS my power went off. I work from home occasionally. I purchased the 1500. I had my home computer, home router and two monitors hooked to this. This switched to battery instantly. It said I had 65 minutes of battery. This depends totally on your load. Easy set up. Easy menu reading. Menu silence button. Designed to easily change out battery if necessary, slide off front cover, slide out battery. Simply put highly recommended. You can't go wrong with this UPS. It also comes with a cable to hook to your USB so you can download free software for monitoring if you want. I would definitely buy again.

I bought this UPS to keep my internet devices running when power goes out. Comparing this one with the other brands I previously owned, I can say this one is a substantial leap forward.The main highlights for me are:1. The accessibility panel in the front to replace the battery will make that operation a breeze. Also considering there's only one plug to connect the battery instead of individual connectors.2. The design is very nice. Very minimalistic and with the right information presented in the front screen.3. The distribution of the outlets helps connect all the devices with no problem, including transformers.With this UPS and the current setup I have, I will be able to have internet for almost an hour, according to the estimates.

I have been using UPS's with my big screen TV's and video equipment, PC's, and internet equipment for 20+ years. But they only last as long as their batteries, then you throw they away and get a replacement. This time I read LOTS of reviews on the internet and concluded that this UPS was going to be the best for me because of the ability to easily change out the batteries when needed. Unit arrived and I read the instruction manual. Pretty basic stuff. Plugged it in and left the unit charge up the batteries overnight before plugging anything in. Next day found that although all of the surge protected outlets worked fine, none of the battery backup outlets had power. Immediately dashed off email to manufacturer with model and serial numbers and explained the problem that I was having and waited for a reply. Later found out that the select button was non functional as well. Never got any reply or acknowledgement to my email, and it's probably too late to send it back to Amazon, so have been using it as a very expensive surge protected power strip! Saddest part is that if this first one worked well I was going to buy two more. Now that is ruled out!!
