one 30 Amp Male - Two 30 Amp Female | Marine Y Adapter | Yellow

I purchased this L5-30 Male to (2) L5-30 Female Y Adapter for use on a boat. It seems well manufactured and connects to marine 30A male and 30A female power ports and cables just fine, and seems a great deal for the price. Comparable cables can cost from twice to four times as much as this particular part.This also included adapters that can be removed to allow it to be used either on the boat end or at the dock end of your shore AC power cables.I had hoped to use this at the boat end of my shore AC power cable. When used this way, the two female 30A connectors would need to connect to the 30A power ports on my boat. However, the length of the wires leading to the two female 30A connectors was too short as compared to other Y adapters, so this one would not allow me to reach both of the AC power ports on my particular boat. Unfortunately this means I can't use it on the boat end of my AC shore power cables, so I'll hang onto this as a spare, or to be able to loan to someone that may need one.Keep the length of the wires from the 'Y' to the two L5-30A female connectors in mind if you are considering purchasing one of these. On your application it may not be as important to you as it was on my particular boat (on my boat the two AC shore power ports are not right next to each other, but are about 6 or 10 inches apart from one other). If your ports are right next to each other as they are on most boats, this may work ok for you. If will certainly work ok when used at the dock end of your AC shore power cables as the length of the wire between the two female connectors is not an issue when used this way.

hello, this male 30 amp plug to the 2 female y adapter allows you to use any marine electrical shore power pigtail adapter for your everyday power tools. the fit and finish of this y adapter is top notch. it is very sturdy. this adapter allows you to hook up your regular 30 amp three prong shore power cord for an always on situation. but, the additional female 3 prong allows you to get an adapter to convert the 30 amp to a regular two prong 15 amp outlet for your everyday electrical needs: power tools, lights, etc. a neat way to always allow your 30 amp shore power cord to be continuously hooked up and powered, while allowing power tools to be used in the same outlet. a neat solution.

The idea is get TWO 30 Amp sources for the price of one! A well made cord, too!Sadly, my boat won't let me run both 30 Amp circuits off one line. My AC units won't turn on, even if I turn off the other circuit breaker. So, for me it's useless.

Functions perfectly! After searching everywhere and finding extremely expensive similar products, I decided to take a chance on this splitter that was half the cost of any of its competitors. Glad I did. Nothing cheap about this cable or holder clamp system. Also It has LED status lights on each end allowing for quick check on power function! More than exceeded my expectations!

Exactly what I was looking for. Our marina does not have an extra 120V outlet for a plug. I use this to give me an extra outlet, where I used the following item as an adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001H9TSEW/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2).Works perfect!
