We ordered the hitch rated for 10k pounds for our 8,800lb camper. We went on a camping trip, and the hitch was in the red zone and wasn’t working correctly. We thought there was 30 day return policy, but didn’t realize it’s only for UNUSED hitches. The hitch got a scratch on it since it wasn’t strong enough. We contacted the manufacturer and they said that we had to return it through Amazon since we bought it from a third-party. The manufacturer recommended that we got the next size up. We returned this through Amazon and the company only gave us a 50 percent refund! They said that because of the scratch they cannot resell this hitch. We had to pay over $50 to return this, and then only got a small part of our money back. Buyers beware! Honestly, I would just go directly through the manufacturer to buy this because this trends company sucks.

Almost perfect. Position 1 and position 4 on this model have less available depth for shank. I had to trim an inch off the shank of any ball mount I use.The torsion feature noticably reduced the shock inside my travel trailer that was caused by road irregularities. Things in the cabinet and fridge stay put better than before. The intended dampening effect (when tongue weight is properly matched to this receiver) between trailer and tow vehicle allows just enough independent vertical movement to sufficiently increase ride quality in the tow vehicle. It is imperative to match the tongue weight range of this torsion receiver to your intended trailer tongue weights.

+1 for being made in the US. It's very heavy (-1), and I wish there were a slightly lighter duty version of this but with the suspension. For my GL350, in order to clear the bumper, I have to install it in the hanging-low position like shown in the picture. This places the hitch and chains very close to the ground. It's fine for highway but for speeds <45mph I engage the GL350s air suspension to lift a few more inches in order to clear curbs, etc. If the neck were longer (-1) I could have installed it in the hanging-high position, giving me a couple more inches of clearance. As for how much it absorbs the road bumps I can't say. Between the air suspension of the GL and my low experience level, the one trip I made in it towing an enclosed car trailer was stressful enough. Anything that helps is worth it.

Just towed over 3,000 mile trip behind motorhome and this hitch was worth every cent it cost!

The hitch itself is a little bit pricey but in this case, you definitely get what you pay for. I pull loaded trailers weighing anywhere from 4000-8000lbs and the dampening affect of this hitch is quite amazing. The hitch is much heavier and more robust in person than once thought and I couldn’t be happier with its performance.

using this for towing cars on an 20' car hauler, really smooths out the ride a lil. pretty solid construction. was needing a drop hitch and figured id drop a few more coin if it claims to smooth the ride, but turns out this thing works. id recommend it if you are in the market.
