Q: What is the surface (front and back) temperature of the panel when it works?

The heat radiates from the front not much the back. We have them all over our house and I would say they get hotter than a hot water bottle. Maybe it depends on the wattage. A 180watt may only be as hot as a hotwater bottle but with ours you can feel the heat as you walk past the heater. If worried about children then put them above child height to be safe. I don’t think you will get a ‘burn blister’ as such if you touch the panel but a small child might.

Q: Can you confirm if and how the panel can be mounted to the ceiling?

Mine has been in the ceiling working well for 18 months, it heats my conservatory really well :)

Its irrelevant how it heats It heats whole room Very quickly

Q: Would this prevent a room from becoming damp?

We have these in each of our rooms and they will and do prevent damp. The heater heats objects the objects give off heat which heats the air which prevents damp.
