I got this for my wife who retired this past January, and She used it for the final months of her ramp down to retirement. Once that day came I took it over for my own countdown, and used it through the year and now as I type this mine is showing 27 days 3 hours 12 minutes and 39 seconds to go.. cool little gadget -- and an inexpensive way to remind you of your upcoming freedom every time you go in the kitchen or wherever you stand this up. It's small an unobtrusive but you can read it across the room.One thing to note: My wife made sure she was right there when it went to 00 days 00 hours 00 minutes and 00 seconds, and expected some kind of "Ta-Da!" sounds or a confetti moment. Well it basically went beep-beep 5 or 6 times and then stopped... (probably because it has a basic low-end digital watch chip inside), so I plan to have a nice cold can of beer next to it to pop open once the beeping starts.Oh, it's down now to 27 days 3 hours 7 minutes and 12 seconds to go..... NICE!!

I really liked I could customize this to my exact day and time I will retire. Now everyone else will know as well.

This is a simple device and does exactly what I wanted. I'm satisfied with it. It is a little smaller than I thought but, still acceptable.

The countdown clock seems to be working properly and keeping good time. It was easy to set-up, except that I was expecting to be able to put in a date/time and the clock would make the calculations. Instead, I had to figure out exactly how many days, hours, minutes to enter. Lucky that I'm smart! j/k In short, I like it!

I gave this 3 stars due to the size. I will admit that they state the size in the listing and it was my fault for not paying attention. Otherwise it is neat and functions. I bought this to count down the days for my wife's retirement. she loves it and I guess that is what matters.

When I was nearing retirement, I had a device like this. It was reassuring to look at it each day and realize my goal was getting closer. It was also good reminder to those which I worked, what my intentions were. Now that my wife is nearing her retirement, I got this for her. It is easy to set, has big, easy numbers to read, and now provides her a sense that the end is near. When the day really gets tough, she can look at it know retirement is near.

I really enjoy this product. I received it as a gift. At that time, I had 110 days left to retirement; now at this writing there are 20. I look at it every single day with a smile on my face. It's a fun gift and leaves you to be optimistic about the next chapter/adventure in your life.
