Szechuan Fermented Tofu - 10oz - [Pack of 1]

This is so tasty! It has a unique flavor but adds so much depth and layers of umami. Delicious! I add 1-2 in marinades and rubs or into a broth base and it just adds this fantastic funkiness. It’s not quite blue cheese meets miso, but it’s along those lines. There’s liquid in the bottle, but each cube is pure treasure! Great quality and superb flavor. Will order again soon as this bottle will be gone soon!

One of my staples for rice porridge. A little pricey, but worth not having to drive over an hour to any nearby Asian market. Keep in mind if you order these during hot weather, they can leak if they get too warm during transit.

Product was just water with floating crumb like curds. What a waste!

Just arrived today and the jar is in liquid form. It is not fermented bean curd, it is liquidified into fermented soybean milk. Cannot be used and it costs over $18! Return is not allowed? it must be stored in a. hot warehouse for a long time as I have never had any fermented bean curd dissolved into liquid form before.

Normally, fermented tofu is pretty stinky so that when you add just a little to a dish, it becomes very fragrant. This wasn't stinky at all so barely adds fragrance to a dish when you use it. You can't add more of it to compensate because it is very salty.

This fermented tofu is delicious in vegetable stir-fry. I’ll buy it again.

Tried the fermented tofu not long after I received it. The tofu cubes were good and not broken down as some 1 star reviews described. It tasted fine. Would buy again.
