Is each group on this box individually addressable for individual strip control? if i had eight 5m led strips connected would each be controllable?

This box takes up 24 channels total. Each Led strip takes 3 channels. So you can have 8 led strip total running there own dmx address so each of the 8 led strip that you connect can have different colors. When you have this box, you can set the starting dmx address. For example, I can set this light to start at dmx channel 100 (or whatever channel you want it to start) and then it will use channels 100-124 (100-102 for first led strip, 103-105 for second led strip And so on).

Where would I locate a 72-80 amp 12vdc power supply for this device? Thanks.

Well, that's gonna be difficult and expensive. But the good news is, you only need to supply as much current as you're going to use. We only use 1 LED tape (3A draw) on each output and so we only needed a 24A supply. I found some here on Amazon that are 12v 30A units for $24.

Have you had trouble addressing the device and having it respond to the dmx signal? since the documentation is almost none.

I have had no problems addressing this device or sending it DMX data. If you have not already done so, suggest you test connectivity device by setting its DMX address = 01 . To configure this address only the DIP switch labeled "1" is set to the down position. All others must be up.

What power supply would I need in order to use the full 72 amps that this is claimed to be capable for this device?

According to the manual, this thing can only handle 24 amps total, or 1 amp per channel/3 amps per output. The specs are showing wrong on Amazon. We wired ours up to a 12v 30a Dc power supply and it works good for us.
