Thank you for your question. The shaft of our Vibration Isolator is NOT a one piece structure. Our vibration isolator has two metal studs bonded within the rubber on both sides.

I use mine as horizontal mounts for the fan assembly and motor for the blower on my furnace. Working great so far - after a year of use - but bear in mind that I'm not an engineer and I don't know what you use you have in mind for them. Every shop I went to said my blower unit couldn't be repaired because of its age - about 65 years old - and that I needed to install a new furnace system which would have cost me about ten grand.

These rubber stud works well as vibration absorber. However, mounting location is very important as well, because you don't want to sleep beside a runing compresser. In your case, you should consider relocate your outdoor unit. Better talk to a techniciant.
