This waist band fit snug and firm. I use this when I'm in the sauna. I'm a bigger guy just under 300lbs. I've tried other bands in the past and they always feel cheap. Finally someone got it right. Your body is not straight up and down, it’s curvy. If not it should be, mine is. With this belt I am able to adjust the three bands to make it fit my curves. And also helps to keep it from moving around as I am doing an activity. It’s not for your back support but it helps me with my lower back.Hope this helps. I have short arms and have a hard time wrapping it around me. Getting used to it though. Wear it during the night mostly because of back issues while sleeping and it helps. I put it on a hanger after use cause it's sweaty and drys pretty quickly. Haven't attempted washing. But I have a sanitize with steam on my dryer... so I use that. Not bad, not bad at all.
