SKY QUAD LNB

I bought this to replace my single connection on my satellite dish - so that I could make use of my dual tuner PVR to record SD and HD programs at the same time.Replacing the old single LNB with this new one was easy and does not involve any re-alignment of the dish (unless you are so clumsy to knock and move the satellite dish of course!) It was then simply a case of running some new cable from my PVR to the connectors on the LNB (you will need the satellite cable and F connectors) and covering these connections with self-amalgamating tape to prevent damp penetrating.I get good quality strength and signals the same as before but now can fully utilise my dual tuner and record 2 programs at the same time (although it does depend on the channels as to whether I can record 2 HD programmes at the same time ... sometimes I have to select 1 HD and 1 SD program or even 2 SD programmes - but either way I can now record 2 programmes simultaneously).

Worked well and put life back into my old sky dish allowing me to view freesat on two TVs

I just removed the Sky Q LNB put this one in its place and now I can get free sat as the Wide band LNB wasn’t compatibleVery pleased.

The lnb works fine but the photo was a bit misleading. I was also expecting a bracket to fit the older grundig dishes. I ended up having to cut it with a hacksaw and use gaffa tape to make it fit my older dish.

I no longer use Sky Q but still have the dish and wanted to use it to get Freesat. Unfortunately with the LNB used by Sky for Sky Q you can't get Freesat so all you have to do is buy this quad LNB, replace it with the dual LNB already installed and that's it! Just make sure you have easy access to the dish. Installing is very easy, just one screw to remove the collar holding the LNB in place, unplug the cables, insert new LNB and replug cables and secure collar. (I didn't need to use the collar which came with this new unit, I just used the one the old LNB was secured with).Also, note that there is a sliding cover which goes over the cable connections to the LNB. This is for water protection so you'll need to slide this back to expose the cable connections to be able to unscrew them, then slide forward again once you've connected the cables to the new LNB.

We really only wanted a twin LNB but as they cost twice as much as the Quad, we decided to take a chance and order this. My son brought it out to Spain for us. Put it up, plugged it in and that was all there was to it. It works perfectly, has water resistant connectors/cover and is excellent value for money. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this product.

I hadn't realised that Sky Q uses separate cables for H and V, so after cancelling Sky Q and moving the wires from the Sky box to the TV was initially surprised to get no picture.This product had the Sky logo both on the box and the LNB itself, and as I already had ladders and fairly easy access to the dish, I had it swapped for the Sky Q LNB in less than 10 mins and now have a fully working freesat service.I used the existing bracket from the dish with this LNB.

Good LNB works perfectly. The collar on the supplied bracket is slightly too big, so when you install it’s very easy to knock the LNB skew angle out of position. I just fitted it to my existing bracket and it fitted that perfectly.
