Simple to use and gives great coffee but some design flaws
Bought this to replace a de Longhi machine which had failed after about 8 years. This Beko model outperforms the de Longhi machine by being faster, less expensive and adjustable in terms of the amount of water passed through the filter basket. The delivered coffee is as good as any I have tasted from other machines (or cafes). I like the way in which it primes the coffee in the basket with a small amount of hot water before moving on to the full flow. However, it has a couple of design flaws:1) the machine is light in weight and you need to hold it steady while inserting and fixing the filter basket holder. I find that it is too easy to accidentally touch one of the start buttons (for single or double dose) while doing this and thus have to rush to get my (pre-heated) cup under the outlet.2) the basket holder has a hinged flap of plastic the purpose of which I have not identified. It can get in the way of the basket holder when inserting it in the machine.Despite these two reservations I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars on the basis of quality of coffee and value for money.

A fantastic middle ground where you won't fall out of the habit of making coffee
A great middle ground between a full coffee machine that grinds the beans and froths the milk and a machine that has a steam wand. This coffee machine will enable those who are slightly lazy and avoid making coffee because they have to steam the milk. This froths the milk for you and to a good standard too.Honestly, for the price and ease of use. Very lovely to use.I still do the rinse of hot water before attaching the coffee and I put filtered water in the back and in the milk frother after use to rinse the system through after - very important.

Great Coffee maker.
I love this coffee maker! For our regular coffee I put milk & sugar in the cups, warm in the microwave, then put cup under machine and select Double Espresso. For Cappuccino I fill the cups with hot water and leave to stand while I get the machine ready. Next I empty the cup, add sugar and place under the machine and select Cappuccino. It fills my cup with delicious Cappuccino and I sprinkle a little drinking chocolate power on top.If you warm the cups up with hot water first then Cappuccino and Latte are perfectly hot enough. When removing the milk container for cleaning I recommend holding a dish cloth under the spout to catch the drips.Rinse milk container, fill with water and refit to machine, put a mug under the machine, and press the milk jug button to flush out any milk residue. I flush it twice to make sure.I would recommend this coffee maker.

Really nice coffee
Just used after picking up on prime day to replace much loved Tassimo. Looks great and modern with the touch screen and the coffee comes out lovely. Had to turn milk frother down as on high get more froth than latte. Used Lavattza intense and makes a great expresso, latte and cappuccino. Love it already. Could be hotter but means you can drink straight away and have another lol.

Not a happy customer, very disappointed
I did read the reviews for this item and people seemed happy. I think I received a defective item as the puck and part that is put into the machine gets jammed and doesn't work properly. At first I thought it was just me as it then started to slot in ok and I didn't have any more issues for about a month but then it started being difficult again. The coffee wasn't coming through at all and even the milk steamer stopped working and I clean it down after every use and wash all the components. It's pretty much useless now as the puck usually gets stuck the handle gets stuck the coffee doesn't come out and I've been trying to return it for over a month now but Amazon send me to Beko who send me back to Amazon. I've wasted so much time trying to troubleshoot and back and fourth between Beko and Amazon which I don't have. I definitely wouldn't recommend this machine from my own experience. I had a different machine for 4 years and never had a problem, used it every day and even took it with me and it always worked perfectly. Still haven't managed to resolve the issue or return for a refund despite many many attempts. No one will accept responsibility for who it should be dealing with the issue. Amazon have actually been more helpful than Beko who take ages to get hold of and then just push back to Amazon

Doest give full cup of cappuccino/not hot enough
Sorry don't like this machine, no matter wat I do trying to adjust how much milk/coffee when making cappuccino it will not fill my cup up to the top (only small cup as well) I end up having to fill to top with hot water. Also not hot enough. Bit tricky taking off milk container etc to wash, drips all over place. Shame as it's small and compact and like touchscreen but will have to return. Anybody recommend which machine I could replace it with, only drink cappuccino/latte.

Easy to use and great product
Only had it a couple of days yet but so easy to use and easy self cleaning makes great coffee. Some reviewers have said it doesn't heat the milk enough and the coffee is cold before sitting to drink it, they must be only just dipping the tip of the wand in the surface of the milk. Practice putting the wand in the bottom of the milk to begin with then move it up and down as it does it's work. If it stops heating press the wand image again after a minute or two it will pulse steam. By the time half a jug of milk froths up to the top of the jug it will be hot.

Bit Fiddly but stick with it
Replaced my old Beko with this - so knew the quality would be good - works well and the coffee is much the same. The fiddly part comes in setting the quantities of water / milk. However once you get it it is fairly simple and then the machine goes from good to great. The milk attachment is easy to store in a fridge and takes enough milk for a few coffee's (should this be your style). The top is a a 'warm' plate as well so you can keep one coffee warm whilst waiting on the other. I like to grind my own beans and like the fact I can choose which beans to use - rather than bean to cup. For the money this is a very good bit of kit with clear display and Beko reliability.
